Close to the highway, gas stations and places to eat. convenient location. Certain staff members were friendly.
The pool was a lot smaller than expected, which made it uncomfortable. No more than 4 people could fit inside of it comfortably at once. We never received towels & were told they were all out and it would have to wait til morning but still never received any which made showering / drying off after the pool hard. The children and I had to use small wash cloths to dry off and walk from the pool to our room wet / cold.

Disappointing Stay at Hampton Inn & Suites Providence/Smithfield

Our recent stay at Hampton Inn & Suites Providence/Smithfield was far from satisfactory. Upon arrival, despite our reservation for a King Suite, we were provided with a Standard King room without prior notice or explanation from the receptionist. Upon entering the room, we noticed a peculiar odor, presumably from smoking, despite the room being designated as non-smoking. When we brought these concerns to the reception, we were informed of the unavailability of the King Suite without any offer of compensation or resolution. Seeking assistance the following day, we approached the manager on-site. Unfortunately, the interaction was marred by unfriendliness and a lack of hospitality. The manager emphasized that room types booked through third-party platforms such as booking.com are subject to availability, absolving the hotel from responsibility. Furthermore, the manager's insistence on signing up for Hilton Membership and solely booking through their website felt coercive and did not address our immediate concerns. The most distressing incident occurred during checkout when housekeeping entered our room unannounced at around 10 am. Their intrusion, while I was in the midst of dressing, was unexpected and alarming. Despite reporting this invasive occurrence to the reception, the response received was dismissive, offering a cursory apology without acknowledging the gravity of the situation. Overall, our experience from start to finish at the Hampton Inn & Suites Providence/Smithfield was profoundly disappointing and distressing. The lack of proactive communication, unavailability of the reserved room type, and the concerning intrusion during checkout marred what should have been a comfortable stay. Regrettably, based on our experience, I cannot recommend this establishment and hope that steps are taken to address these issues for the benefit of future guests.

Didnt eat there but others seemed to like it. Parking was good. Location was quiet.
Old, needs repairs, broken floor tiles when you walk in. Bed was fairly comfortable. Room wasnt cleaned very well. Counters were dirty so I had to wash them down. Rugs were dirty. We asked two days in a row for clean towels and were told there werent any. Finally the night before we left they delivered some to our room. Room was never cleaned while we were there for 4 days.

The location and comfortable beds are the only reason I would come back.
The beds were very comfortable and the rooms were very clean when we arrived. The houseman was very responsive, and the cleaning staff in the hallways were very friendly and nice.
The front desk staff were inconsistent and not very knowledgeable. Our keys never worked. The breakfast bar was very skimpy. We had to ask for toilet paper and tissues to be replaced. The cleaning staff never came in our room and changed the beds or put out new towels.

It was close to where I needed to be. Next time we'll be a different hotel in that area.
Spectacular breakfast. A different selection every day. I have to give the workers five stars out of five. They were very friendly and very helpful.
I stayed for 5 nights and nobody came to clean my room. I had to ask a worker in the hallway for toilet paper and towels. The shower dribbled. I didn't switch rooms because I had already unpacked for my five night stay. Among other things the quilt was stained. I stayed at a lot of different Hampton Inns and this was the worst one yet. I was very surprised.

Great value. Comfortable bed. Very clean
It was clean and very decently priced. The pool was nice and warm and front desk desk friendly. The bed was super comfortable!
There is no staffing after hours. There should be an emergency number or a manager on duty for when people get locked out or the magnetic strip stops working. Mine stopped working and there was no one on site. We had to walk thru an employee only door to find someone. Very frustrating.

Will not do business with them again.
Location was close to where I need to be.
They have over charged my credit card by eighty dollars even though the receipt says different. Person checking out the same time as me also had been over charged and was disputing the rate.

I had a crappy stay. I will not be going back.

My Car was broken into. Three of my Credit cards were stolen others, I had to ask for a replacement. It was a terrible experience. Christmas breakfast was nasty. I have always used the hotel anytime Im in Rhode Island but not anymore. I was told that my car was parked at owners risk.
