Awesome location for peace..

Our stay at Foothills Homestay was an excellent experience. We stayed in a mountain-front villa, the views, sound from the birds chirping were splendid! A wonderful mini-vacation and a great opportunity to be with nature!!!!

A wonderful and well maintained homestay experience

The homestay is neatly maintained. The property is open and you can get a great view of the hills in the background. The breakfast and dinner provided were delicious and had some variety too. The staff and the owner were very friendly and helpful. The rooms and the toilets were clean.

The road to the homestay is pretty rough for atleast 2kms. Not narrow roads, Its through the coffee plantations. The room in which we stayed lacked personal television.

Memorable stay.

Location, environment, facilities, owners and staff. Food was amazing. Hospitality second to none. Everyone goes beyond their call of duty to make our stay enjoyable.

Approach road needs repair for about one to two kilometer. Once you reach the place ..wow !

Amazing views from this property

Beautifully maintained property. Amazing views.I loved the services provided by the host. There was bonfire with snacks! Food was very homely and tasty!:)

Accessibility. Roads leading to the property and to Mullayanagiri from this place is bad. I do not blame the owner for this. They are very welcoming and maintained the property amazingly well.the roads should get fixed soon I guess.

Beautiful location? Well kept place

The location of this property is great, surrounded by silver oak trees,looking at the cloud-covered hills on one side and the green valley on the other. Its a perfect gateway from city crowd and not very far from Bangalore. Property is very clean and well maintained, small needs of guests are kept in mind like placing a water purifier and coffee machine in the common area. Food is super good, gives you homely feeling. Great place to go with family or group of friends. Hosts are friendly and helpful. You can even do a staycation here if you are okay with basic wifi connection.

Walls of the rooms are quite thin hence any noise in the adjacent rooms can be disturbing. Would have been good to have mosquito net on the windows to filter out insects and have adequate ventilation at night. Service is little slow but that is understandable in a homestay set up.

I checked in at 3rd April & stayed there for a day, overall had a good experience.

The booking process was very easy, the person on the other end of the phone was extremely supportive & responsive, the support staff is extremely homely, food is good. Overall a fantastic experience..

Everything is good starting from booking to checkout.

Good place for a family vacation away from the crowded city life!!

Breakfast and Dinner were pretty good. Home made! They served coffee and snacks in the evening and also coffee/tea earlier in the AM. Location is deep inside the woods and surrounded by flora and fauna. The place was very quiet and peaceful. The rooms were surrounded by 30 acres of plantation (silver oak among many other trees..coffee and pepper plants).

Perhaps a microwave oven in the common area + some toiletries.

Very good

Despite the minor negatives, we really enjoyed our stay. Lovely family.

Breakfast excellent. Also the location. Very genuine family. If you ask for things they will supply. Good games facility for kids/families. Great bridwatching along the road (almost no traffic).

Not speaking Kannada was a problem for us with family and staff - until Rakshith returned on our third night (he did respond promptly on WhatsApp earlier too, but that was an extra effort each time). We werent given towels, toilet paper etc first night. My wife is frightened of dogs and although the 6 sausage dogs were no problem (and my daughter loved them), but two bigger dogs were loose despite repeatedly askiing them to be kept enclosed, so we couldnt relax fully. Advice for trekking and birdwatching wasnt available - but again partly a communication problem. Also, we do not use Googlepay so had a problem paying as no card option (and no airtel reception). So needed to go to ATM on way out and pay that way which we didnt realise.
