Superb

I like the whole concept, it is a hotel with tradition, long history / one of the first on the island/ and personnel is well trained.Food is delicious, I liked the French restaurant and also the buffet dinners-really compliments to the chef.The room with bath tub in the middle.The fact that the owner is the same as The Story hotel and they share facilities.

If people do not like, they do not have good taste.Of course some things might be worn out, but style is style, a good concept is a good concept...

Good size of rooms

Long line at reception for check out, slow service, facilities and breakfast are not five stars, no direct access to beach, need to walk to STORY hotel, which is much better hotel and service. This hotel is 4 star maximum.

The room and specificallyvthe beds

Nobcleaning around the pool area. ciggarettes and diet still in place day after day. The condition of the pool was bad and the cleaning poor. The beach is a local area but drags down the hotels rate because of the dirt and garbage on it. Not a 5 star quality.

Superb

Always slept well with very comfortable bed and sounds of nature.

Beautifully adorned tropical gardens maintained weekly. Stunning views of the ocean and surrounding hills. We had half board which included breakfast buffet. Very good options.

Some rooms in need of renos. Not all restaurants are open. Paris is closed. Too bad as it has a lovely location.

Very relaxing with exceptional views.

Location. It's at the southern end of Beau Vallon beach. You canwalk along the beach (1.5 miles) to other beach side hotels. Snack & beach bars.

Fishermans Cove is one of the original hotels on the main island of Mahe. The staff are really nice and friendly. The food is very good. But...it does need some work done to it. It's sister hotel next door ( The Story Hotel) is new and modern. I would still stay at the Fishermans Cove though. It still has that 'old world charm' from the 70's.

I had booked an ocean front room. When I arrived I had been "upgraded" to a mountainside room with a partial view - not what I had booked - and, not what I wanted. Check-in took too long (an hour) - likely while they re-arranged my booking.

Exceptional

Amazing facilities, location & staff. Accommodation excellent, we booked a superior double and on arrival, found that we were upgraded. Snorkelling excellent!! Stingrays, baby lemon sharks everyday, close to wall/walkway every day. Saw turtles & diversity in tropical fish. Saw giant tortoises & even a tame & *flying fox* to feed on the beach, if you buy fruit from the vendor. Thank you for an amazing holiday. Huge thanks to the very informative & helpful security guards at the beach gate.

Food/drinks very expensive compared to local cousine/shops. Huge amount of options, in the area. Buffet SCR795, which as small eaters we couldn't join. Portion sizes and food options on buffets *breakfast & dinner* were huge.
