The Fairfield by Marriott Chennai OMR is an excellent hotel with spotlessly clean and well-kept rooms. The amenities are in line with Marriott standards, and while the service can be improved, the fo (Read More)od is terrific. One reviewer mentions the missing letters on the building and average ambiance, but overall, it is a good place to stay, especially for a business trip. The rooms are comfortable and clean, and the food, prepared by Mr. Neeraj Singh, is excellent. There are limited activities in the vicinity.

I already gave feedback on this trip 2 or 3 times so you might wanna recheck on your website, server, algos, AI etc. etc. Property was nice and clean with good breakfast and a nice view.

Foul smell from the AC and the bathroom illumination was way bright. Also the check on time was rather long given the fact that I had already supplied all my personal details online.

Accommodation clean and comfortable. Good variety of food in buffet

No alcohol in restaurant A bit far out of the city. Not much in the local area. At the time we stayed experienced bad weather.

Even if someone like me wants to experience luxury, should try just the next building, Four Points by Sheraton.

The room was good, apart from that nothing else.

Almost everything, first of all the location, I mean is it really in chennai? Secondly the food, dinner buffet had literally no options, same with breakfast, just that idli and dosas save your day, dont expect any fancy dishes just because it has marriott in its name.

A bad movie

Leaving the hotel. The staff's efforts to move guests to another hotel due to the disastrous situation.

During the cyclone Michaung: no electricity and through a flooded basement also the hotel's generator failed. No electricity, no wifi, no water. We could not shower and rooms were hot without fresh air. Bad smells. They had to move all the hotel guests to another hotel. Water was pouring through the roof and into the stairways and rooms on the 8th floor. It was like a bad movie. It is outrageous that large hotel chains are building concrete hotel blocks in major Indian cities without proper drainage and not providing space to infiltrate excess water during heavy rainfall or collect it in rainwater barrels.

Room - A disgrace to association with Marriott

Location of the Hotel

1. A.c not working. After repeated complaints shifted to another room around midnight 2. Stinking bathroom 3. Creaky and bed too soft. Not firm and comfortable 4. Extremely small rooms with misplaced items. E.g Dressing mirror doesn't have place to get dressed and is right on the common pathway behind the door 5. Dysfunctional A.C.. Even in the new room. Keeps oscillating from too cold to warm and muggy 6. Bathroom shower area doesn't have door!!. 7. No foot mat outside bathroom. Make do with a dirty towel Hotel room was a disgrace to Marriott being associated. One can get much better room and value for money even in common service apartment.
