Home away from home!

Rooms were clean and tidy. Location was close to town but tucked away in a quiet area. It felt safe walking back at night. Loved watching the monkeys antics from our balcony. Host informative, warm and friendly and helped us organise a driver for the day. Recommend!

Great location and friendly service

The hostess is lovely, fantastic location right near the lake and next door to a great pizza place.

A little noisy but it is in the centre of town so take ear plugs.

It was ok and decent size room for the price but wouldnt stay again.

It was cheap and the view was great.

It said we had a balcony but it didnt specify that it went all the way round our room and people could walk past our windows. The owner made comments about the time we got in (we got back at 12.30 after dinner and drinks in the city).

The staff were excellent....friendly and very helpful with making suggestions of things to do in Kandy and surrounding area. Everything was clean and simple; great value for the money The location is a 15 min walk from the city center and up a small hill which gives you a nice view of the surrounding area from the balcony off your room. Thru the guide service connected to the hotel, we booked a 12 km walking tour of rice patties and team plantations in the Knuckles Ridge area. If you like hiking thru nature I would highly recommend this walking tour.

I've been traveling for 1 year and this is one of those places where you just feel like at home, therefore I stayed for 1 week. The hotel is owned and managed by a lovely very polite lady and her helpers. Most rooms are in the 2nd and 3rd floor with great ventilation, lots of light and lovely views. The location was perfect for me, only a few minutes and you are at one of the nicest parts of the lake, the road is not busy so don't worry about noise pollution and there are a few options of good restaurants to eat right next door. You can also eat breakfast at the hotel which was very convenient and affordable. The rooms and the common areas are impeccable. There is plenty of room to sit outside and inside. I had to do some paperwork so the living room area was perfect to sit and have a few office days. I enjoyed very much my stay, it is one of those places where you wish you can come back and enjoy the peace and comfort.

Highly recommend this stalwart of the Kandy hiking and budget accommodation scene.

The property was tidy and cheerful and run by a Huxley knowledgeable Kandy local. Breakfast was delicious, and Kanti recommended some of our favourite restaurants of our whole Sri Lanka trip. We were able to plan all of our hiking outings through the guesthouse as well.

Value for money. Clean.

They said they do not prefer local guests. The guy arranged the room said this several times. We had booked through booking.com and provided our details beforehand. They knew we were locals. If they don't like they good have not accepted, instead making us uncomfortable.
