Very poor

Poorly ventilated, with mold

Location and staff.

The room was poorly ventilated leading to it having mold. To make things worse, the hotel uses Ozone generators to eliminate the stench - but by creating Ozone that is a known health risk. The coffee machine's water compartment had some sort of fungi / Bacteria in it too.

Location was great for a basketball game. Bar terrace was nice, good drinks. Breakfast was not bad. Friendly staff. Nice large room.

we had made the reservation at the last minutecalled the hotel first around 3:30 pm but were directed to booking.com. It was christmas eve and for 2 nights. We checked in about 4:30 pm. A family emergency arose and Before leaving the hotel at 11:30pm for my sons house, I asked the night manager (who had checked us in 5 hrs earlier) if wed be charged a second night if we had to check out early (a possibility at that point). She assured me (and repeated 3 times) that we would not be charged for the second night if we checked out by noon. My husband called the front desk the next morning, informing them of the early check out. when he checked out the manager (a different one) presented him a bill for 2 nights and refused to honor what the other manager had told us. The room would have gone empty had we not booked it. Under the circumstances a last minute reservation, an unforeseen family emergency late on Christmas eve, the assurance of the senior manager at the time that we would pay only for one nightthe manager on duty at checkout should have honored the promise of his colleague, regardless of general hotel policy.

Would not stay again.

Location of the hotel itself was perfect for what we were planning to do while visiting. The lady who was working morning shift in the second floor restaurant was VERY nice. We were only there for 3 days but went here every morning. She is a lovely person who made us feel right at home.

I reserved (and paid for) a room from 12/23 and due to travel delays, ended up arriving early am 12/24 (did call to let staff know of late arrival-which I was told was not a problem). BUT when I arrived to check in I was told that my room was not ready and was asked to have a seat and wait. Asked how this could be as my reservation (and what I had prepaid for was from 12/23). Was given a room, which was not what I reserved (reserved two queen beds-got a room with one king bed). Was asked if this was all right with me. Said yes as it was early, downtown LA, no family in town to stay with, and no place to hang out with my luggage for hours on end. Was given two key cards, one of which did not work from the first time I tried to use it to take the elevator up. Upon arrival to room itself, TV did not work and the shower dripped constantly. On another day, I visited the second floor restaurant in the evening, attempting to order some food. Unfortunately, it took a VERY long time for someone to even take my order. When someone finally did, I heard a lot of "we don't have that" but did end up making a selection and paid for it. I waited another hour before finally giving up and returning to my room- without the food that I had ordered and minus the money that I had paid for it.
