People and location awesome. Rooms need to be checked for faults. Be wary of the buffet breakfast.
The location was excellent. The staff were very friendly and helpful. They had good facilities for everyone. The room was excellent and exactly what was advertised. Very modern bathroom and kitchen. One of the nicest rooms weve stayed in for a while 10/10
There were a few issues with the room itself when we first arrived. The handle on the ensuite was nearly detached, someone had stuffed tissue in the smoke alarm and the toaster was damaged. I subsequently took photos of all these and forwarded them to the manager via email for my own protection ie I didnt want these faults to fall on us upon leaving. The utensil range was very poor. Were a family of 4 staying for a week. Naturally were going to eat a few meals at the apartment during the week. We ate out about 75% of the time and 25% in the apartment. There wasnt a bowl big enough to mix a salad. No spatula to flip an egg. The largest pot was for a packet of 2 minute noodles. Forget about making a pasta. But what got my goat the most was the buffet breakfast. The range was ok, typically what youd expect from 4 stars. However the hot food was all bordering on cold. Bacon sausages and egg all nearly cold. I was embarrassed to suggest to my family that we should try it for Christmas breakfast. And the manager overseeing that breakfast should be thoroughly embarrassed as well. I dont know what happened, perhaps we should have waited for the waiters to bring out new/fresh dishes. My wife had one bite and pushed it away. My boys were starving so they dined under protest and with valid complaint. Went to get a danish for my wife so she could eat something. Waited 20 minutes for danishes with no result. Went back to our room and had weetbix for Christmas breakfast. That was singularly the worst event of the whole week. Utter garbage
