Location was right infront of information center so walking distance. Fire place & electric blanket makes the place very warm.

Flies gets in easily and they are big so keep doors close at all time Bed is a bit squeaking.

Comfortable stay in the wilderness

Great location and facilities provided everything that you'd need. Be warned that you will have a better stay at Cradle Mountain if you take all your own food & provisions. Kitchen & cooking facilities at Highlanders were great. Our cabin was very clean & staff were pleasant & helpful, we even saw a wombat there !

Absolutely everything !!!!! the manage Brendan was just amazing. The cabin was way better than expected, we could have stayed forever. The position was secluded enough to be private but in a perfect place to walk where we wanted to go .

Unique and memorable stay

Family really enjoyed the comfortable and unique setting the Highlander had to offer. It is good value for money and the surroundings is serene, blending well with the general landscape of Cradle Mountain. There were plenty of wildlife and in the morning and I saw a pademelon jump across my path (or maybe their path) at least three times one morning. The resident currawong is always there to check out who is inhabiting for the night.
