A fantastic stay a few minutes' travel from the heart of the city, and in an historic building.

The old building has been maintained /kept up to a high standard. We loved the situation location and how handy is was to the city and the surroundings. The room was large and had all we needed. The room was dark to sleep in, so this was a very big plus to the rating of this stay. The jug with coffee/tea was good but could have had a hot chocolate option. I thought the range of breakfast was exceptional and was very well catered for the traveller. The staff member Linda was so thoughtful and helpful, and went over and above to give us information and help if we needed it. The chocolates in the small lounge were also very thoughtful (and delicious).

The large room we had the return trip did not have direct fresh air (unless the door was open). This could have a blind over it, if people like me need blackout rooms to sleep. Everything else was more than we expected.

Excellent base to explore market and Hobart

Hobart is quite an expensive city to stay in the cbd as is the cost of additional parking. Clydesdale was close to the city for a short Uber ride, quiet despite a busy road, adequate parking and comfortable beds and decent value. Ticks all the boxes.

Maybe option of a cooked breakfast.....but that said the continental was sufficient.

Beautiful yet simple manor with gorgeous breakfast room.

Cute manor with bespoke rooms for each lodger. Lovely breakfast space with natural light pouring in through the windows in the morning. Free wifi, though I didn't use it.

Minimal staff presence. Never saw a front desk attendant, only a cleaner.

Cosy grand old home

Good location. Plenty of parking albeit on gravelWe had a room with French doors that gave onto a formal garden. The shared lounge area was like a step back in time to days of elegant lamp lit evenings. The decanter of port was a lovely touch.

We could hear people moving around on the wooden floors outside our room And also in the room overhead.
