Excellent hotel, great service

Great location, very close to all historical places. Community with the staff great! Friendly and smiling reception. Very enjoyed to stay at Clarion Hotel Golden Horn. Clean and comfortable room! Fantastic views from the balcony.

We had only one night stay but it was pleasant and enjoyable. Nice view from the terrace on the Golden Horn. Large enough room and very comfortable bed. Robs and sleepers. We had complimentary fruits and nuts. Everything you need you can find there.

Not 5 but at most 4 stars.

The facilities were ok. The food was ok.

In the bathroom, there was a very pregnant cigarette smell. The restaurant personnel were simply not qualified for being in a 5 star hotel. They did not understand simple things, and you had to ask not one but 3-4 times to simply get a drink.

A relaxing experience.

Friendly and helpful staff. Clanliness to a very high standard. Free shuttle is available throughout the day to popular tourist spots.

A bit far from city centre. Need uber/taxi to commute. No nearby Metro station.

Amazing hotel

The hotel is super comfortable and felt luxurious, breakfast was amazing and WiFi worked very well too. Great view from our room. We felt rested after staying here for two nights.

The location is not great for public transport and taxis take a while to arrive, we once waited nearly 30 minutes for an Uber. Thats the only inconvenience.

I do not share my reviews normally.

Well the only thing I liked about the property was that the friendly staff at the reception desk as well as the house keeping staff.

I have been to Istanbul 6 times and in every visit I like to try out a new place. However, Clarion golden horn was really disappointing to me for the following reasons: - The AC was not cold even though I did set the temperature to the lowest, reception desk was informed and they told me that their central AC is set to fan or something like that because it is winter, I had to keep the window open for my whole stay even though there was maintenance and construction work nearby the hotel. - I went upstairs to the 10th floor to try the breakfast there. However, I can tell you that it was the worst experience I ever had in every resturant I had in Istanbul. Food was average but that was not really the issue. The staff was really not helpful and not willing to serve the residents there. I asked the staff three times just to get a tea as the tea pot at the buffet was made like 3 hours ago and the tea was totally black and not drinkable. They absolutely had no intention to serve until I spoke to the supervisor. In addition, I asked for eggs at the egg station and had to wait 20 minutes just to get my order, when I went there again to check on the order after 15 minutes they started to make it even though there was no orders before or after me, and they got me the wrong order which was really frustrating giving that all the time I had to wait for absolutely no reason.
