The Oakland Marriott City Center is conveniently located in Downtown Oakland. Some guests found the parking fees to be expensive, but enjoyed the spacious rooms and comfortable beds. The staff was fr (Read More)iendly but not exceptional in their service. The hotel is clean, updated, and has great views. The location is convenient, close to a BART station, but the area may not feel completely safe at night. Overall, guests had positive experiences and would stay again.

The view from the 19th floor.

The prices and the quality of the hotel restaurant. Furthermore it is a pity that the downtown of Oakland is falling down. The shops are closed, there is no people in the streets.

Very nice hotel! Love it in the city centre of Oakland!

Excellent stay this time~)) Check in was very easy; the receptionist simply gave me the key card for the room to check in then I am in. Room was big & clean, I really liked it even on the 8th floor~! Location is central right in the heart of Oakland by 12th st & Broadway. Just have to be careful walking at night sometimes because there are barely anyone walking on the streets here. Best restaurant here especially at night is the SHOOTING STAR CAFE that opens till midnight! They've got not only Chinese delicious dishes but also some western sandwiches as well as other western food! Nice! Bed was very comfortable to stay in. The AC in the room is very useful especially during the early morning when it's very cold. Overall, very nice! Love the Christmas Tree decoration too!

The queue at the reception desk sometimes can be very long because there's not that many receptionists working there in the early mornings nor midnight. So please be prepared to wait longer.

The location is just down the street from Jack London Square, with lots of restaurants to choose from.

Parking was $45/day, so better to Uber if you can.

Pleasant

Room was clean and spacious. Beautiful view of the city and bay.

We are not sure what the constant rumbling noise that was going on. Car park is expensive. Breakfast was not included and very expensive. Bathroom could use some updating. No free wifi in rooms. Overall, the hotel seems a little shabby.
