Exceptional service from Sanjeewa in concierge. Breakfast was great.

Sanjeewa at Concierge service was very very helpful even though concierge service was overwhelmed with guests. Sanjeewa went out of his way to make us feel at home. Breakfast was wonderful.

Simply underwhelming experience.

Its location is ideal.

The rooms are tired and the HVAC system in the rooms had a damp smell. Additionally, the commercializing every aspect of the property negatively impacts this guests experience. The hyper focus on selling dining and facilities access to non-residents takes away from the service expectations of travelers staying on property. Examples include hour long wait times for seating in dining outlets, a crowded lobby and pool with every Instagram celebrity in town taking pictures. The overall guest experience does not match the brand expectations Cinnamon should be known for.

Unsatisfied in one key aspect

Comfortable, great location.

Incredibly, there was no provision for pressing my suit when I reached Admittedly my flight was late and I reached 8pm (when laundry was closed). But more than ever I was in a rush and would have appreciated help in achieving turnaround. In similar situations, throughout Asia I have found Housekeeping being able to volunteer to step in. Not in this case. Perhaps the positioning of the hotel is not for travellers with demands like mine. But for this very reason, I will unfortunately not be choosing Cinnamon for my future stays. To be clear, apart from this, the hotel was otherwise decent.

Room was big, Fine dining restaurant was impressive and so was Breakfast. The staff are polite

Was charged for an extra bed even though I booked 1 triple room and 1 double room. It was clearly mentioned in my booking the amount of people 2 adults and 3 children with the ages but they still insisted for me to pay additional for the extra bed. Even though the booking was for 2 rooms and 5 people. To add to this it took a long time to check us in and the rooms were not ready, we finally had one room released at 3pm and the other at 3:30pm. The hotel needs up grading in some areas and the cleanliness is not up to standard.

Overall our stay was very enjoyable

This was our fourth stay at Cinnomon Grand. On our third stay I had to complain about Cheers Bar. On our first night we ate at Cheers Bar and was very disappointed that things have not improved and would not recommend Cheers to anyone. Breakfast was excellent The room was very good

The food in Cheers. I ordered starter and main course. My starter came and in his other hand the waiter had my main meal which I told him to take back as it should not be brought out with the starter. I eat my starter and was brought my main meal of leathery or crisp french fries and a nearly cold and soggy piece of fish. I did complain to the waiter but nothing was made of it. Very good

Overall, had a pleasant stay. Great location, good facilities and helpful staff. A special mention about two members of staff Chamodi and Budara at front desk who were very helpful.
