Decent. Good place for a day. Better for people looking for a getaway from the city

I like the concept of the homestay. They have packed something interesting. Ashok, who is a co-host and Chotaram's brother is polite. Chotaram did not quote engage much with us, mostly because he had better prospects to attend to, whom he could sell a Jodhpur experience package. This is a better place for people from Johdpur and cities around looking for a getaway and cool down. It is not a place you would want to go to if you have to go back to the city, that is if you are a tourist/traveler. Stay there for a day, or more depending on the time you have to spare.

The location. Getting to the homestay can be a pain. If you are traveling from the Udaipur side, Google is likely to tell you to take a left from the highway for the final 10 km. And those 10 km can give you hell and make you rethink your decision, Getting in and out of the place, even otherwise is difficult if you rely on Google. It's like a maze, the village roads and Google map messes up big. Also, the food may be a letdown for some. What we cannot deny is that it's clean and hygienic.

The property is in the outskirts of town. The rooms are clean and hygienic. The best part is the food. It's so delicious. The ladies in the house make some really really delicious food. They have multiple charging points in one room. The bathroom is very big with modern amenities. The hosts are kind and friendly with excellent hospitality.

The best decision and the highlight of our trip: Chhotaram

When we landed in Rajasthan, everyone (friends, taxi drivers, planners etc) said "why did you book a stay do far away from the city"? Looking back after completing our Rajasthan trip, I must say that staying at Chhotaram Prajapati Homestay was the best decision we made in our whole trip, and the memories we created with Chhotaram and his family were the main highlight of our trip. In our trip, we stayed at large hotels, small hotels, in the city, outside the city, but not even the best hotels could match the warmth and service we received here. The food was simply splendid. In the rest of our trip, we dined at highly rated restaurants that charged triple the prices of what Chhotaram charged. But the wholesome food, the natural taste, and the love with which his wife made and served the food was no where to be found.

Truly amazing and memorable experience!

Amazing opportunity to immerse yourself into a real life family homestay. Chotaram and his wonderful family make you feel welcome and a part of the family. Food is delicious and accomodation is comfortable. We also did a cooking class, safari and saw pottery being made. They also have amazing durry rugs of which we purchased one. Thank you!!

A warm and wonderful welcome to family life in India

Weve been to the Taj Mahal. Weve done palaces and forts, cities and mountains. But the most beautiful place we have been to in India is Chhotaram Prajapats homestay. From the moment we arrived, Chhotaram and his wonderful family made us feel at home. The huts were clean and comfortable. The activities: cooking lessons, a village walk with a temple visit, a local safari looking at blackbucks and visits to a local fabric workshop, a pottery (we even had a go!) and a local holy man were all wonderful. We feel truly blessed to have been made to feel like a part of this lovely family, sharing food and stories. It was just perfect. Thank you Chhotaram - you are blessed with a fantastic family and we are honoured to have met you all.

Nice experience. But if the hut was more authentic would love it

Owner is very nice person. Very polite. Got real home cooked food for dinner and breakfast. Everything was neat and clean.

The huts roof is made of concrete so it was very hot inside.

Unique experience in a Rahdjastani family

Gratefull for the amazing stay with Prajapat family's. They have created a peacefull oasis and love to transmit their culture. Inviting us to share their day to day symbiosis with their environment : nature, animals, food, craftman art. They allow me to contemplate, learn and love about their Indian way of life. Inspiring. The presence of grounding elements is magic : fire for cooking, earth on the wall of the huts. Thank you for this amazing food !
