Disappointing

5 star prices for 3 star accomadation, gorgeous location but not a nice hotel

Very nice location its a shame the hotel is not up to the 5 star standard it advertises itself at.

The room was dirty, dust on all surfaces, jacuzzi jets had black mold on them and all the silver covering the dials was peeling off. Blinds on balcony had rips and stains on them. Pool area looked dirty, previous guests rubbish left in the sun all day. Whole hotel looks tired and old. Both myself and partner had vomiting and diarrhoea whilst staying here. Asked for ice to the room which never came. Computer table was not charged up on arrival and then was slow and glitched a lot, gave up trying to use it. A New Years dinner was advertised at an extra 9000 Baht per guest! This was a ridiculous price when compared to other local 5 star hotels offerings in the same area. Smell of rotting food coming from the back kitchen entrance. We spend more time trying to get out of this hotel than wanting to be in it. The hotel loves to overcharge for everything and does not tell you about alternative cheaper options (like other 5 star hotel in Thailand) they wanted 8000 baht for an airport transfer after a little research I booked a taxi with the minimum of fuss for 2500 baht. This hotel was such a disappointment, looks lovely for a distance but get up close and its a different story

Superb

Stunning location. You can spend time surrounded by beautiful nature.

Wonderful location surrounded by the Rocky cliffs. We enjoyed the beautiful sunset at the beach. Wild lovely nature animals like monkeys and little birds come down to the beach or the villas.

Room facility and amenities, no indoor slippers and toothbrush, the automatic indoor lock was not working

Hospitality was poor. Apart from (Tuta) who assisted us. Reservation made in Japanese restaurant on 23rd for 25th. Was told 24th afternoon whilst ordering drinks at the pool that it was full. No one wanted accountability of any issues, except Tuta. Transport from hotel a rip off. Rooms not ready til 6pm. Then no towels in the room. Had to look around for staff everytime you needed something. No one about. Poor Thai hospitality. Dated rooms. The Indian restaurant doesnt exist, its just a different menu at the pool bar.

The resort was built in 2006, I believe it shows when you look at the facility. The staff and the Japanese restaurant are the only good thing about this place. The other restaurants have ok food. No shops to get snakes or water. Getting in and out of the resort is hectic. You have to reserve every time and it needs to be in advance for the way in and out. We wear chock by how old it was. The towels the bedding have spots on them and some of the towels were ripped. I do not recommend you stay there.

Exceptional

The location by the beach created such a serene atmosphere for me that cannot be matched. The hotel is really a masterpiece of luxury and elegance. I loved most of all the stunning views from my private balcony. I also loved the diverse range of restaurants. The Japanese live cooking show is one I will always remember. All staff were warm and friendly. Unforgettable memories were created at Centara and I will definitely be back for more

Disappointing

Breakfast was nice and staff very friendly

Hotel was not to 5* standard. Room was dirty upon arrival and didnt really get better during the stay. Bed sheets were all ripped. Hotel rooms and bathroom extremely dated and hotel in general needs a huge maintenance overhaul. Would not stay here again or recommend until they get their act together. Shambolic from a large hotel chain!
