The Moorish-style complex is well maintained and clean, with a large se (Read More)lection of themed restaurants. The service is very good, with helpful staff and prompt service. Some guests noted a few minuses, such as hygiene issues in the rooms and inconsistent drink tastes. However, overall, guests were pleasantly surprised by the high level of service and enjoyed their stay, mentioning the spacious rooms and variety of food and drinks.

Excellent hotel. The food was great and the staff were very friendly. The beaches and pools were very good. We had lots of fun and would highly recommend. Special thanks to Mr. Haitham Ali and all staff members for the excellent service.

Perfect family vacation
The property is huge and brand new so everything is very well maintained and gives you alot of options. The pools were heated properly and we really enjoyed swimming in January. The staff are more than friendly and always looking to make your stay comfortable. Mr. Haytham from the hotel was very generous and upgraded our rooms to royal family suite. We are a family with two kids.

Very good and a lot of varieties are there, pools, restaurants, aqua, etc.. Also the staff was very friendly and helpful, especially Mr. Haytham Yehia :)

Great place for a family of 4 (kids included)
The setting of the hotel is very special. It looks like a village (hence the Village name). So even the resort had more than 85% ocupation rate it felt like was all just for us !. Many of the pools are heated so kids had a great time. Pools are scattered all over the place so you can take your choice of location, pool bar and tourists arround to acompany you. Aqua Park was a must so we spent some time there as well. The beach has an entrance to the sea with sand and it is very good for kids. No waves, low depth and very safe. We been mostly to El Khan restaurant as we like local food wherever we travel. I must say all management here is FULLY COMMITED to food security, cleaness and quality of all they serve as food, drinks and so forth. Also the a la carte restaurant ShellFish highly recomended.

Truly exceptional experience!
The whole experience at Pickalbatros Villaggio Portofino Marsa Alam is absolutely amazing - we spent one week between Christmas and New Year Eve here. We arranged two-way taxi service at the hotel which turned out to be a wise choice - the price is reasonable and it was reassuring to have the Hotel-arranged taxi driver there waiting when we came to a totally new destination. Upon arrival at the reception, hotel staff welcomed us with warm greetings, swift check-in and Christmas special drinks and snacks while we could simply sit down on couches in the lobby. During the whole time of our stay, Mr. Haytham Aly from the Reception offered us assistance from all perspectives professionally and personally: laundry, late-check out, restaurant booking, etc.. He always asked for feedback and listened attentively. Besides him, staff work at beach bars, lobby bar, housekeeping, concierge, shuttle service, towel stations, beach safety stations and activity team are all striving to give us an unforgettable experience. Kudos to the whole team! Mr. Mohamed Saad from the hotel travel desk (concierge) helped recommend and arrange our transfer taxi and later a dolphin house trip. Our children loved it because they could go snorkeling so close to dolphins and swim through colorful corals and fish. We truly enjoyed the trip! Food and beverages provided by the hotel have many choices and are abundant, almost around-the-clock. We have no reservations to recommend Pickalbatros Villaggio Resort Portofino should anyone plan to come to Marsa Alam.
