Good service, bad smell

The location is good, 10 minutes walk to the pier and 5 minutes to the beach.

The neighbourhood smells from sewage and no one seems to care. The smell is all over the hotel & the room (maybe put some air purifiers?). The rooms themselves are fine, bathroom needs a bit of renovation. Overall, the staff was very friendly and helpful but the conditions could be better for value of money

Location was great and so were the rooms

Staff is very very rude. We got the room 1 hr 30 mins late .. had to wait in the sun Also, i don't know if this is okay to do but they made us wash the sheets because they found a small minor stain.. that was the most unprofessional treatment we have ever come across

Big rooms with good air con. Brilliant location, 2 minutes from all the bars/restaurants. Dont be put off about bad reviews about bathrooms, mine was peeling paint in some places but it was nothing too bad!

Great Budget Stay

Free tea and coffee and water were the highlights for me. I was surprised Blu Monkey was offering unlimited hot beverages and drinking water when during my entire stay in Thailand I had to resort to 7-Eleven. The front lady is good and speaks decent English. She helped us out with tour bookings and also let us sit in the reception after checkout. Rooms are cosy and I loved the whiteness, inscriptions, and cleanliness.

No free trolley pickup service from Tonsai pier and the water jet spray in the lavatory is on the left side. Bathroom ventilation could be better. It's a small property so you'll continuously hear other guests keying in and out of their rooms and even flushing their toilets upstairs or downstairs. Not a great issue if you sleep like a log.

Not far away from the pier and quiet, although it was on the street. Shops, cafes were at the corner. Good size room for three people.

Bathroom had mold, needs renovation (205).

Hostess was helpful and nice. The room was as expected and everything was working fine.

At 7am the cleaners were blasting music and speaking really loudly in the halls. This continued well into the morning. That made our experience a lot worse as we were exhausted for the stay.

Comfortable, air conditioning, location is ok, overall concept.

On the side is a 24/7 building construction. There is music from 7:30 in the morning. There are small but notable maintenance issues: bathroom walls painting and limescale. Shower with no pressure.

Honost review.

Comfy bed. Great air-con Staff pleasant Great hostel style hotel- for anyone who wants to be in the thick of the action. Not for relaxing.

Location a bit hidden. Up hill. Had to wheel suitcase up through crowds ourself when every other hotel had staff to carry suitcases. (This sounds very high maintainance but when you arrive you will know what we mean!!) Very smelly outside hotel with sewage running past. Had to ask to get room cleaned. Never changed the bed sheets, just remade the bed. Decor very worn for a new hotel. Pain peeling etc. We were a bit misled by hotel photos on booking.com showing very modern, minimalist, contemporary appearance. Just really a white room with a bed. Not even a wardrobe.
