Faded Beverly Hills grandeur

We went all out for the final night of our trip and this place was pretty luxurious. We got a huge room that was really nice and comfortable off in a quiet wing of the complex. Ended up near the hot tub so used that a bit. Pool was really big and nice and no one else seemed to use it at all. Valet staff were really nice.

Front desk staff came across a bit snooty and condescending. Double charged my credit card as they didn't bother to check that I'd prepaid, so had a hold on my card for a month, which was annoying! Place is very nice and luxurious but also feels a bit dated, feels like it was an amazing destination in the 90s but not so much now.

Id only stay there again if there was absolutely no availability in that are whatsoever.

The ambiance

We had to walk from getting off elevator on the second floor to having to find where our room number which was 654 then walking up stairs from second floor to 6th floor. We placed a breakfast order the night before to be delivered next morning between 7;00 -7:30 am. Arrived on time. I ordered egg white got regular eggs, ordered French toast and chicken sausage. The tray carting the French toast and sausage was warm but when I removed the trays both the French toast and sausage was cold. Sausage looked liked they put it in the microwave to warm it over and the French toast was cold. Called restaurant and asked to come get food. Gentleman asked what was wrong I explained same thing to him. He asked if I wanted it replaced. I responded no thanks S we were preparing to leave. He apologized and said hed have the charge removed from my bill. Upon checkout we were asked how was the stay. I repeated the same concerns with the day manager as he introduced us who he was to us. He said hed check with the restaurant and if the restaurant verified what I told him the invoice would be rectified and new invoice would be emailed to me. Well, I received the new invoice and the $122 meal charge was still there. I can assure you well never stay there again. Its definitely not about the cost of stay. Thats not at all the issue. What is my issue is the poor lack of customer service. The manager puked have handled that while we were at the desk. There was no else around wait f for check in or out service. Oh, when I mentioned walking g the stairs to the room he said if we d made reservation directly with hotel instead of Booking.come we would have been in another area of the hotel where the rooms are larger Snd are cheaper than being booked by Booking.com. I didnt personally book the arrangement but and didnt know it was book that way until the night we arrived so I take full responsibility for having to walk the steps to the room.

A beautiful and comfortable hotel - I definitely recommend it!

Gorgeous house, clean and comfortable rooms.

The elevator does not go to the third floor - or at least that's what the administrator (an older gentleman) told us, who had an arrogant attitude to say the least. For that, on other days, both the valet parking employee and the administrators were very helpful and friendly and polite. Bathroom doors did not work well.

Even with good prices Id never return.

Good staff and clean attractive property.

The rooms are huge but dated. Getting to many rooms is an ordeal of narrow stairs and passageways. Elevator still left me 4 levels of stairs to my room. With baggage its a workout.
