The Best Western Carlton Hotel offers very comfortable and spacious rooms, conveniently located near North Pier and shops. Guests enjoyed the buffet breakfast and tasty evening meals, along with help (Read More)ful and friendly staff. Some minor issues were a thick pillow preference, a small step in the bathroom causing a trip, and no lock on the bathroom door. Overall, guests would stay again due to the good value, sea view, and pleasant experience.

Very peaceful n pleasant stay.
The room was cosy and warm. Considering its a pet friendly hotel, the room was spotlessly clean, it did not smell like a dog had been in the room, or hotel.
The only thing we didnt like was the pillows, they were hard as a brick.

We enjoyed our stay. All the staff were very welcoming.
Breakfast was ok.
Sausages wern't very tasty , also tough to cut. Shower wasn' hot enough, however we didn't conplain, we did mention central heating wasn't on, we arrived back to get changed to go out ,roo was very cold ,this was remedied. Must mention the young couple in the restaurant Alex and partner were charmimg.

Room was clean but unbelievably cold, spoke to reception about heating only to be told it was on a timer as regards to gas prices ( very poor) as my husband had health issues

Lovely location, a little tired
Beautiful location
The window locks in room 120 didnt close properly so the wind noise kept us awake :-( The tv remote was dirty & didnt work The mattress was collapsed in the middle The above are understandable and minor but my vegetarian partner was given meat sausages at breakfast. She sent them back and the chef said she was wrong, they were vegetarian. They were not. Our non-veggie dog wolfed them down. Very disappointed in the chefs attitude.
