Bluewaters Hotel Blackpool

Very outdated and expensive for what offers. Swimming is extra (misleading in the advertisement). Price of the swimming pool is the same for adults and children so a family with 2 young children will pay 20 pounds. Parking is also extra. 10 pounds Breakfast/buffet was very poor quality. Low qualtiy sausage (bangers), cheap beans (very salty and untasty), greasy mushrooms. I am a former chef so I can tell the oil used in cooking is industrial/processed oil: seed oil with anti-foaming which it is very bad for your health. Black pudding was over cooked. They have not much choice of bread: just white mold bread available and low quality. The restaurant was uncomfortable: was very warm and outdated. The bright lights make it very unpleasant too. For the price we paid was very dissapointing. Bathroom and toilet are separated (inconvenient and unhygienic), shower curtains (they seemed clean, though). No toiletries: only a wall dispenser of liquid hand soap and same in the shower. Clearly, not update the layout since this hotel is been running, feels like 80-90s but not in a positive way. There were cracks in the wall were the window are fitted, so breeze passed through into the room. Only duvet dress the bed, so was a bit chilly (winter visit). Dissapointing not even a runner for the feet to dress the bed or extra blankets in wardrobe. Some of mattresses were old or poor quality (sunk). No other extras: hairdryer or iron. Very basic and very old/tatty wardrobe. Doors were very old, they have stains and marks and despite they have been painted so many times to cover this, are still visible (they have layers of paint of how old they are). In general everything is tatty. Check out is considerably early 10.00 sharp. Any later than that there is an incurring charge of 10 pounds. In general was an uncomfortable stay. They are many other places in Blackpool that offer much better stay, moreover enjoyable and more value for money.
