Awesome location, incredible staff, great room! We initially booked the pool view suite, but were given a room on a lower floor with no view. We are not ones to complain, but when we spoke with the front desk we were quickly upgraded to a beautiful room! If you are coming to Koh Tao for scuba, this is the place. They offer everything from buddy dives to padi carts and everything above. My dive instructor Gabin was the man!! So cool and very knowledgeable, if you can ask for him as your instructor! We had a great stay here for 3 nights and would book again.

Just clarify at the front desk what floor your room is on if youre booking something with a view, theyre happy to help!

Nice resort, good location if you are there to party

Great location if you want to be right in the thick of it. Unfortunately though our room (Garden Deluxe) was incredibly loud of a night with music from the beach blaring until 2 am almost every night. I would have thought they would put the cheaper back packers rooms where the noise is and the other rooms for holidayers further back from the road. Check-inn was very seemless and the room itself was lovely and had a great balcony. Nice pools too, the divers use them a lot but you can still get in them and it didnt bother us. Would have been very nice if the pool had a drinks stand or bar, you had to trek down the hill to get a cold drink. Their western menu is very good for anyone who does not like thai food or has cravings got some western food. Thai food there was pretty good too.

Great place for healthy people

All great except hilly place so not easy to walk up and down. The hotel provid a golf buggy to transport you to the end resort... through a road..... Great breakfast, on first floor

Nothing but I won't advise this place for people with disability... lots of steps. Bedroom balcony should be properly separated properly..... you can see the inside neighbor bedrooms through balcony separation.... no intimacy.

A cleaner stole our Samsung tablet so we feel very sad and disappointed

Our Samsung tablet was stolen, we left it in the room before the cleaner arrived in the room. We stayed 8 nights here, we are in our honeymoon, my husband and I are Muslims and we didn't go out to party or smoke weed. We know who it was but we don't have proof as there are not cctv cameras and she probably took our Tablet easily when she change the towels of the room or the sheets of the bed. It is something material and we are not attached to materials things, but it is super sad that we are in our honeymoon and we got stolen, we used the Tablet to watched movies or do yoga. It is so disappointing that the managers and staff didn't help us and they treated us like we were lying. I asked them to check all our luggage and belongings and one of them checked and of course we didn't have the Tablet. They even laugh sometimes and spoke in Thai language, they were mocking us. I was trying to find a solution, and I told the cleaners if the person who stole it needed money, my husband and I could give her cash and don't report it to the manager, but firstly I don't think she would play guilty and secondly she could have bad consequences so probably she was afraid. We even feel a bit sorry for her, she may be desesparate for money as lots of people in Thailand struggle. I just don't know what to say to be honest, I feel exhausted and overwhelmed with this situation. We paid the hotel before arrival so we are not making this up. I am going to upload the screenshot of the coordinates and location where our Samsung tablet is. The person who stole it probably sign the device off but is still shown that it is in the hotel. We are devastated.If someone book this hotel please just keep absolutely everything of value in the safe box

-A cleaner stole our Samsung Tablet -Breakfast was not fresh (example: no fresh juices, just powder with sugar) they don't have olive oil for salads just vinegar! You have to survive with rice. No good coffee, no tea varieties..really bad -Dirty rooms (ants and no clean floors, try to be in your flipflops) -Staff and managers were very rude and no helpful, they were mocking us -The first day the cold water didn't work and one person had to come to fix it -There is a lot of noise at night, if you come here to relax you may need ear plugs, you can buy them in a pharmacy next to hotel because the hotel doesn't provide them -A suggestion in case you want to book this hotel anyways: don't pay for breakfast there are cheap options with better quality and fresh food like coffee shops

Another excellent stay

I have stayed three times at Bans and it has been excellent each time. We stayed at Christmas so was quite full and more expensive. We were lucky to be able to change rooms; the rooms at the bottom of the hill (garden rooms) are noisy and would not recommend for families. The ones up the hill are quiet - theyre a bit of a walk up the hill but fine for most people and can usually get a golf cart.

Id avoid the rooms in the garden at bottom of the hill
