A restful restorative respite from the madness of the world!
Location, set up, food, and having an unpopulated beach were the outstanding likes. The area is simply beautifully peaceful and d mostly quiet (local barking dogs in the morning make for an alternative alarm system). The yoga teachers are fantastic and any yoga novice, such as moi, will not feel out of place
Ants! This is not unexpected given the more remote location and environment. Pays to not have any food or potential products that ants may be attracted to. Other creatures such as geckos and frogs may also be present in the huts, particularly the open bathrooms on some accommodation units, but again, this is the nature of the surrounding environment. If intent a five star resort u have come to the wrong place! So have good insect repellant for the mossies and treat any cuts w the utmost caution given the humid hot conditions.

Beautiful bohemian yoga retreat that ticked every box....loved our stay.
Exceeded our expectation. Such a lovely resort. Fantastic vibe on a quiet, beautful beach in South Goa. The yoga was amazing and the instructors were top notch. The yoga platform sits right above the beach overlooking the ocean. The food was to die for. My most favorite meals in all of India thus far. Beautiful healthy food and Indian cuisine. The staff were so lovely and helpful. So much attention to detail at this retreat. We are absolutely loved our stay there.
The bed was really bad. I could feel the coils (Room 14) going into my back.

    Perfect place to rejuventate
If you want somewhere to relax and have a lot of "you" time, this is the place. The staff are amazing, the food is delicious and freshly prepared. Everywhere was clean and there was great care taken to ensure filter water was used for drinks and cooking.
Although the massages and treatments were incredible, they are expensive for India, they also get booked up quickly.

    Blissful week of peaceful relaxation.
Whispering palms, glass-green water, golden sand, ocean breeze - sunset cabana opening straight onto the gently curving beach was my idea of heaven. Adding in the friendly people, delicious food/smoothies, beautiful communal areas and varied yoga sessions, I felt truly restored in mind, body and spirit by the inspiring teachers (Judith, Myria and Andrew). Plus three fabulous massages from lovely Mia. My whole week felt charmed, easy and serendipitous, and I thank all the wonderful staff and my fellow guests who helped to make it so.
Bamboo was a magical retreat for me, but if you want hustle, bustle and immersion into Indian culture, you will have to take a taxi to find it (which is quick and simple to do).

    Amazing - go!
Really simple and comfortable; in synergy with its environment. Food was exceptional. Service and vibe was spot on. Yoga was superb, Judiths classes were brilliant, but all were really very good.
Nothing Id change. Maybe a catch to hold the hut door open.

    Yogis in paradise
One word: paradise! When I arrived an instant smile appeared on my face. The location (quiet tropical beach) is super and the huts are beautiful, clean and well designed. The yoga classes were diverse and the teachers were great. Food was amazing and I really enjoyed the overall relaxed and friendly atmosphere. Great for solo travellers/yogis.

    Stunning yoga retreat
Hard to choose. It was stunningly beautiful, perched on Cul de sac beach, rooms were so comfortable without the annoying pretentiousness of luxury resorts, the grounds were essentially a garden, minimally invaded by the cottages. It was super eco all the way and very private. Yoga was new age and excellent. Shalas have divine view. If you're into traditional Indian yoga, might be a bit puzzled but l liked it. What sealed the deal for me was Nils, the manager-owner and his family of Nepali staff. For example, I needed an emergency hair fix. Nils got me a scooter and I had a fun fabulous time chatting with the young lovely goanese hairdresser, Renal (do go, if you've messed up your hair with salt and sun. She's competent and it's a sweet experience at Retro, 2 km ride away, plus hot water for hair wash). Overall, as a solo Indian woman traveling, I felt respected, safe, it was fun, and it was genuinely restorative. If I didn't live so far away, I'd return regularly..
I'd prefer more traditional Indian food just because I don't live in India but food was great, just fusion. For what it's worth, the western tourists at the resort said they loved food.
