On a negative side, whilst the accommodation in itself I believe it brings a good value for money, after being in Viet nam for almost 3 weeks mostly in 5* resorts, by comparison everything else at Azerai leaves a lot to be desired: - service at the pool is nonexistent and definitely needs to be improved. For a 5* resort, you would expect to be able to place a drinks order without having to go to the bar each time. In addition, drinks took a really long time to come, close to 15 minutes at times for cocktails. The pool was not cleaned at all during the day, which meant that by the evening, a significant amount of insects and leaves were floating in the pool. This might also indicate a problem with the pool's filtration system in itself. Avoid the special dinner events. We had dinner at the 'special' BBQ night event, which was underwhelming and overall really bad value for money. Whilst the setting was lovely, the food left a lot to be desired. At double the price of what you would pay in the usual restaurant for a dinner for 2, the expectations were higher than what was delivered. Seafood, fish, and steak are delivered to the table at the same time, so you are bound to have at least half of it cold. The quality of the ingredients was not very good either. Having in mind how good the food in the usual restaurant was by comparison this dinner event was very disappointing. You'll be better off using other 3rd parties for tours and transfers. As mentioned previously, Azerai was the last resort we visited after 3 weeks in Viet nam and none of the previous 5* establishments we stayed at tried as hard as Azerai to make money off of their customers by overcharging on services such as transport, spa and tours. For example, I was quoted around 70 USD for a transfer from the airport when in reality a taxi is only around 7 USD and about 210 USD for a transfer to Ho Chi Minh city which I booked through Booking.com for around 100 USD.
