Spacious room & bathroom, comfortable bed, privacy, calming views, high up in the breeze.

Superb

We chose the hotel as starting point of our Sri Lanka roadtrip. The view from the room was wonderful! The Design of the hotel is also very nice. We enjoyed our stay very much.

Shower was sometimes cold but this seems to be normal in Sri Lanka

Touristic

The property is very nice, the room gorgeous, even better of what I expected from the pictures!! The bathroom is huge, hot water and great pressure. The bed is comfy with a useful fan on the top. The driver Ruban was awesome!! He picked me at the airport and helped me in fixing my new SIM and withdrawing some cash, being the most patient since I was 12hours-flight tired and slow in everything. He answered all my questions and gave me a lot of information. Once at the property, he stayed there untill the end of the day to take care of me since the rest of the staff didn't know English so well. He even arranged for me the tuk tuk for the next 5am visit to the fish market, suggesting a really great guy. Last but not least, he helped me with the transfer I had the day after by talking directly with the guy I was going to meet. And he checked on me when I was already gone!! The best.

Super expensive, not worthy. They charged me 20USD for a 20 minutes ride from the airport and 20USD for the worst dinner ever. The included breakfast was poor and bad. The massage not so great and done in a rush, with no attention to the fact that maybe foreigners are not used to do it fully naked with the light pointed directed at them!! The masseuse was also sniffing all the time >.<

The staff, especially Rubin, the manager, were very friendly and accommodating. The ayurvedic doctor, the masseuse, the two massages, and the health diagnostic were extremely good. The combination of traditional and modern decor was charming.

After my first night, I was moved from a room facing the railway tracks. At night, it was less noisy as there were no people about so no train whistles. The pool is on the small side, and it's a bit of a walk to get to the beach if that's what you want.
