Excellent location, welcoming staff, great value for money

This hotel is centrally located, one can walk everywhere in the old part of town (Madrid de los Austrias) and it's a stone's throw away from the Museum district (Tringulo del Arte). The Huertas tapas district is literally behind the hotel. And the Atocha Railway station (AVE) just down the road. The staff was super friendly and welcoming, eager to accommodate (we arrived before the check-in time and they made sure there was a room ready for us). The room was spotless and a lot quieter than I had expected.

They need to improve the shower door, water escapes under the glass door into the wooden (actually, Pergo) floor. Not a big issue, that could not be solved with a towel on the floor.

Excellent value for money but Im not sure Id stay again

Conveniently located, friendly staff, large room for the price paid.

I am not a fan of the decor of the rooms. On top of that the room had basically no natural light. The bed wasnt very comfortable.

Great place to stay, walking distance from the main attractions and close to the metro. Loved the experience there

An Axel Hotel that didnt live up to it's "gay hotel" moniker.

My room was sexy & stylish and the food was fresh & delicious.

Terrible (small) gym located in a dark quiet living room which did not reflect what is pictured in the images. Absolutely no atmosphere in the hotel (granted it was late December) but the most baffling thing for me is that it is a gay hotel NOT actually located IN the gay district ... which is just bonkers!
