Rustic but authentic stay, exceptional host, and beautiful island!

The host here was one of the kindest people and genuine people Ive ever met! He went above and beyond to make me feel comfortable and to help me find my way around the island, even arranging a personal ride for me to go on a hike on far away part of the island. Local street food is cheap, delicious and easy to find! Breakfast was simple but beautiful. Fresh fruit and lovely crusty bun with butter and a tasty fruit spread. Also served with coffee or tea, all served by the beautiful host himself! If you came to Mauritius just to meet him you would have the most lovely vacation :)

Location is more of a residential area but this was not a problem as it was a beautiful town and the locals were very kind. It was also moments away from the bus stop, so traveling was still possible even without a car. My only problem was I wish I had more time in Mauritius!

I would visit again as long as the prices remained steady as the price charged was in Sterling

The owner's and Staff friendly welcome and willingness to help guests to overcome any small problems. The general relaxed atmosphere of the place.

Smoke from people smoking outdoor area entering into bedrooms as the inner garden is well enclosed without enough ventilation to disperse the smoke. Mahebourg could be kept a lot cleaner if the City Council could control Street cleaning Waste collection and have all empty site fenced off so as to avoid illegal dumping.
