Beautiful hotel old but still nice

My room was not ready at 4 pm. I have to wait until 6.30 to get my room . Our TV was not working properly.. we ordered breakfast the next morning, and it came without silverware. A coffee was missing , and the bread was not what we ordered .. at the time, they brought the folks .. breakfast was cold

The Staff was exceptionally helpful and friendly. The breakfast bar was fantastic and the view from the room was unmatched.

The bed was not comfortable, came back with back pain for a few days.

My stay at Marquis was ok. My problems were after I left . I stayed at the Marquis for Christmas vacation. I was there 12/22-12/26. On Dec 29 a whole week after my stay my account was drafted for $256. When I finally spoke with someone I was told it was for parking, in which I replied I was already being charged for parking so I didnt owe that amount. I was then told my rate for my room changed. My room was booked earlier in the year through booking.com & you cant change my rate without me knowing & after I check out & leave. I had already paid my fare of $652.08 for my stay when I arrived & was not told nothing about my room rate would change. I had to file a claim with my bank enable to get my money back.

The hotel was great. Everything we needed was inside. People next door were smoking, so we were able to get a new room right away, which was great. They gave me a 50$ credit for having to deal with that.

Superb

My First Time In Atlanta. :)

The appearance how appealing it was, located in downtown Atlanta right by Mercedes Benz stadium and state farm arena. Great walking distance to other stores, restaurants, and attractions.

That if you weren't a Marriott member that the Wi-Fi had to be paid for on a daily. :/ but everything else was fine.

Never going back in my life.

Couldnt believe how dirty this hotel was. We had to switch rooms twice because our rooms were not cleaned beforehand. It was so dirty I couldnt sleep all night. I would not recommend this hotel. Such a shame because with proper care, it could easily be Atlantas finest hotel.
