Excelent location in a very nice town.

The location was exceptional, The breakfast absolutly delicious. The room had enough space for it purpose.

Love Bologna. The perfect place to stay and explore.

The perfect to explore the city. The location could not be better on the main square and easy walking to the entire walled city.

It's a little noisy on a weekend night, but that's to be expected, given the location. Not a problem for us, but may be worth asking for a quiet room if you have babies.

Ideal central choice

Couldnt be more central - close by Piazza Maggiore and Basilica San Petronio. Most sights within easy walking distance, as were many shops and restaurants. Comfortable and well-equipped room and bathroom. Good range of dishes at buffet breakfast. Good value.

Difficult to define but, despite its heritage, the hotel somehow lacked atmosphere.

Perfectly located, cozy hotel ideal for a city trip.

Location is excellent and the hotel is perfect for a city break holiday. We found the rooms to be well decorated and cozy, breakfast was superb, and staff generally helpful. Its highly central location meant that we were very close to all sights in Bologna, and public transport was also within reach.

The sound insulation could be improved, as we were able to hear a lot of activity outside our room. It was particularly noisy at night when the city cleaning services arrive at around 5am. Otherwise, we were very satisfied.

Make sure you catch taxi or arrange transfer from Train Station to hotel. Distance to pull suitcases over cobblestone is a little far

I will have very happy memories of one of the finest Italian cities

It's a wonderful location under the eaves of San Petronio, but you would never guess inside the hotel that you were in the middle of a city. Everything is quiet, clean, and super comfortable, and the staff are very kind. Breakfast serves a sumptuous array of Bolognese cakes, including some Christmas specials, as well as local cold meats and cheeses.

An excellent and interesting hotel in a superb location

Our room was excellent - quiet, and a good size with an ensuite bathroom and shower - and there was an interesting plaque on the wall that informed us about the Lamentation over the Dead Christ figures in the nearby church of Santa Maria della Vita, which we then visited and thought amazing. The hotel and our room was full of interesting paintings and artefacts, and probably had more of these than any other hotel we have stayed in. The staff were efficient and friendly, and there was a good choice of cold food at breakfast. The hotel is located in a quiet street just 100 metres from Piazza Maggiore and thus is in a excellent location.

My only minor comment is that the hot/warm food at breakfast was limited and looked unappetising and we therefore never ate it.
