Disappointing

They are irresponsible with bar related matters. We ordered a champagne of which they confirmed the price was around 8000-9000 however, we were given a bill of 23000 for the champagne at the check out. Also the staff randomly ring your doorbell at night. Rooms are infested with cockroaches and flies.

Outstanding location, service and value

really couldn't be better. lovely beach front location. perfect conditions for swimming, even in the so-called low season. lovely pool (not that you need it when the beach/sea is so perfect). very friendly, attentive, well-trained staff. and very good value for money.

this area just needs better marketing. a perfect alternative to the Maldives, even in low season, at 1/10th the cost

Very nice resort, great room! Bad food

Very nicely located on the beachfront. The room was very comfortable and clean. The bathroom is very big and the shower is very nice.

Laundry services were good but enormously overpriced. The food at breakfast and dinner werent great. Compared to other restaurants weve eaten at, where they ask for the desired spice level, they did not ask at the resort and provided us with the spiciest meal we ate during our entire 3 week trip round Sri Lanka. The staff tried to act like we were overreacting and said it was the normal level of spice. However they did give us complimentary bowls of ice cream.

Superb

A great resort with a clean beach to boot!

The resort's location was its main highlight - it was right in front of the cleanest part of the beach, making it an absolute delight to go for clear warm swim, and having the pool within premises to jump into afterwards. Cleanliness was above par, and the staff were kind enough to accommodate to our requests. Food lived up to our expectations (we ordered from the la carte menu), and the breakfast buffet was a lovely spread to start the day with. Enjoyed the river with crocodiles in them, and was even lucky enough to spot a couple of them.

It was a shame that the pool bar was closed, but nothing too big to complain about. Would have appreciated a few more beach chairs. There was also higher rate of crows, especially by the river facing rooms - they absolutely enjoy snatching anything within their range, so need to be extra vigilant.
