Hotel has good swimming pool facilities

It was clean Good facilities.

It took us ages to check in, we had to wait around 40 mins with our 1 year old. We booked a sea view room and paid extra for this and they gave us a room without a sea view. We then had to change rooms, it wasted our time

Best Antalya hotel

This place has extremely nice service, location and facilities. I usually travel a lot, been many hotels but never seen so hight lever of professional chambermaids. I visited Akra and Akra V many times and no one mistake: room is always super clean and cosy. I dont know how they can keep so high level so consistently. Breakfast is in main Akra is super nice. I also like Pablito cafe and Baska (try san-sebastian cake there). Reception managers are absolutely friendly and clients-oriented.

Disappointing

Beautiful country and beautiful people. Great shopping places particularly to get Turkish delights.

Safe and central location. Taxi readily available at cheap cost. Close to great shops. The pool-side in the hotel is excellent for suntan and relaxation. Pool-side staff are very courteous. But the beach with its rocky side does not compare to the sandy beaches we have in Vancouver. Staff (and all Turkish people whom I met) do care for the tourist as people (i.e., you are treated as a guest and not as a money source). I liked Turkey and the Turkish people.

With all the great things I found in Turkey in this trip why did I rate the hotel as disappointing? Mainly because of the cigarettes smoke which can be smelled through the vents in a smoke-free room. When I closed all windows and turned on the air conditioner with the fans on, the room was soaked in second-hand smoke smell; obviously coming through the vents. It got better when I turned off the "fan" option on the air-conditioning control panel. I also did not expect the charge for the sodas and the few items that were left in the mini-fridge because they were not explained to me upon arrival. Quite the opposite upon arrival, I was told clearly that they were complimentary. Yet upon check-out the receptionist charged me the equivalent of CAD$38. It was not a big deal but I did not expect it. If I had known that they were not free I would not have consumed them because I did not like their taste. It is a problem of unclear communication that can be improved by clearly explaining upon arrival.

Superb

Always plan my trip in Antalya just because of this hotel! I like everything: comfortable rooms, excellent breakfast, perfect location, beautiful swimming pools and beach, nice sauna and indoor swimming area.

Some rooms need to be renovated a little, but anyway I recommend this hotel.

Never again.

Gentleman who checked us in was very pleasant. Room was comfortable, but needed some basic maintenance work. Bathroom just about ok.

We paid extra for a seaview room, but didn't get one. We just had a view of the traffic and the buildings across the road. Our room was so close to the road and incredibly noisy. (Not helped by the antique minibar, which had no way of being turned off, and was like sleeping 1 metre away from a fully operational JCB). The hotel was far from busy and we asked if we might have a late checkout. We were told 20 per hour after midday. We declined. We sat outside on the hotel terrace for an hour or so, but were smoked out by the many smokers - I felt like a kipper. We would not stay here again.

NEW UPDATE Great access to main AKRA hotel facilities but slowest check-in the world @ AKRA V

NEW UPDATE Just a further update that I provided an honest review of slowest check-in service at this hotel. The next thing I found out that after 10 days of check-out the hotel decided to take an unauthorised payment from my card for a minibar which was never been touched. During check-out they got it double checked from their room service staff and decided to charge after reading my review of painfully slow check-in process. I think the customer service/guest relations department needs to accept the review and stop penalising customers. I have reported to my bank as well BUT please ensure you have it in writing from reception before checking out that nothing is outstanding. We made a mistake thinking it's a big hotel and wouldn't indulge in these kind of cheap tactics.

The slowest check-in process in the world. The guy just couldn't understand what is required and after clicking thousands of buttons on his computer screen, gave us the room key and the entire check-in process took about more than an hour (this was at 10pm night time. Also the AC in the rooms were absolutely rubbish.
