Exceptional

We visit the hotel regularly. The rooms are new and clean. The room temperature can be easy regulated so if someone is constantly cold like me this hotel is the right choice. The breakfast is tasty, the staff is kind.

Nice location, clean, but other aspects should be improved

The location is great, just a 15 minutes walk to the castle. Bus stop right in front of the hotel. The room was big enough and clean. Many plug sockets everywhere.

The staff could have been nicer, especially at the reception. Plus, the housekeeping service took all the towels to be washed every day, and not just the ones left on the floor - although a sign tells the guests to do so. Ever read your own signs? Btw: The hooks in the bathroom are designed specifically so that you cannot hang the towels (except of small ones that can be put under the sink). One has to be creative and use the shower to hang them. But hey, they are being taken away anyway. But the worst thing was that they do not have enough space for breakfast. We were there for six nights, and five times we got up early and it was okay. But our flight went later and so we slept a bit longer on the last day and went at nine. It was so crowded we did not get places to sit and had to eat at the reception! I am travelling a lot, but never experienced something like that before. They could easily take more tables from the restaurant for breakfast.

Breakfast was very nice. And staff was awesome, very nice. Location also ok.

Bed was not so comfortable. Also would be good if there is a a fridge in the rooms.

Very good location - walking distance to main city attractions, some express shops available nearby. Room was spacious enough with heating system and TV working well.

Bathroom towels were clean but not fresh enough, some even with holes. Also, no vanity set, hairdryer working in coldish mode only and no toiler brush.

Disappointing

Very basic and felt we were charged much more for what we received.

Location

Way over priced for the room size and overall experience. For same length of stay at Doubletree Hilton, Glasgow ( we stayed at Glasgow then came to Edinburgh) we paid almost half the price.
