A wonderful resort on a beautiful island

A wonderful resort on a beautiful island. We stayed in the Deluxe Overwater Villa, which was luxuriously furnished and equipped. The entrance directly from the terrace to the water was amazing. They cleaned twice every day and refilled the water bottles in the morning. They cook excellently in the restaurant. A large selection of local and Italian cuisine at dinner. Also fish every day. The kitchen staff also took care of our gluten-free diet - they baked gluten-free bread and pastries and prepared gluten-free pasta. Free water served at dinner. Beautiful sandy beaches with a coral reef with fish, turtles and reef sharks. Attentive staff. We recommend it to everyone.

Staff were good, nice view, i like the activity there, you can request a jet ski and other sea activities but a little expensive, you can go to another local island but its more expensive 40$++ each person and its not worth it tbh because it is quite no activities and only three shops. Spa lady was so good, and also the reception were so helpful.

Resort is not clean at all, sticky floor, dirty plate and cups also the bathroom was so dirty and the toilet paper was so dirty, everything you request you have to pay for it even the water if you request for more you have to pay, even the first aid we pay for it . there is no any other option for the food, you only have to eat the resort food, bring your snacks with you if you are planning to stay with them, and dont take the speed boat it will take around 3 hours not 1:45 as they told us and it wasnt safe at all. Take the seaplane.

Superb

Dream island, very clean and beautifully arranged. The water villa is amazing, stunning view.

Everything very expensive, at least the water should be included. Also the snorkel mask should be included (10 USD fee per day to rent).

Beyond expectations is the right word for this

Gangehi Island resort was a dream resort - this is one of the best places to visit in Maldives. Myself and my wife had requested vegetarian meal - the breakfast and dinner had so many options that we were eating 3 plates every day. The rooms were amazing. The shower idea that has you hearing the ocean while shower just brought that extra special feeling. To be able to open your balcony door, go out and straight into the Indian ocean. Amazing friendly staff - always wishing you well.

Perhaps a few amenities like water could be free as there is no store on the island.

Beautiful Resort, Lovely Staff!

The staff was very helpful and accommodating. The front staff assisted us schedule a seaplane for our departure, and coordinated with the provider to ensure we arrived to the airport on time, and that we maximized our stay at the resort without worrying about transportation or long wait at the airport. The restaurant and bar staff that we interacted with were very friendly and professional too. They offered us top notch service, made us feel welcome, and our stay memorable. We hope to visit again next year.

The clean-up could have been better. The dirty dishes that we used for room service such as wine glasses and plates were not picked up from our room at all for the entire duration of our stay. The bathroom faucets were also dirty and sticky - could use some TLC.

Amazing sea water, very clear, a lot of fishes. Be sure you bring your snorkel mask, it's amazing. They have sharks, black tip reef sharks and sand sarks. Not so big, 80cm-150cm. Overwater villa is a nice experience.

1. No complimentary water, a 1.5l bottle of water is 6$. 2. We had a double bed. It was made of two twin matresses and it was very unconfourtable to sleep where the matresses met. If you're a couple, be careful . 3. During our first two days here, a lot of things broke: hair dryer, sink, safe lock. The resort is very old and it looks bad, it needs renovation. 4. Amenities are very bad, cheap and the bottles are broken. They don't even bother to change them. 5. We had the private diner at Thari restaurant. Even though we paid 60$ per person(before taxes), the food was average and the squid was not fresh. Drinks were not included, not even water. 6. During our first day, Mahmoud(the responsible for tours) sold us a romantic sunset trip(310$ after tax) on a desert island, convincing us by telling we'll be alone on that island. When we arrived there, surprise, 6 local people and 5 tourists. We complaint to Mahmoud and he said is normal, because it's not a private island. We went further with our complaint and we talked with the italian owner of the resort. He wasn't impressed, he told us we're absurd and even though he promised us a solution the next day at latest, he ignored us. Also, Mahmoud had a very bad attitude towards us the next days. 7. This resort is a total rip off, so be careful. 8. Giorgio Pini(the name of the owner) didn't come to us with the solution, we had to ask at the reception and we found out we got 100$ discount. What a rude behavior from the owner, 0 customer service. No

Gangehi Resort Stay - A disaster

Blue waters, Clean beaches,

1. Distance from Male 2. There were crows which kept on attacking guests, throughout the stay we all had to carry sticks to protect ourselves. On complaining, resort staff said that they cant do anything on it. 3. Seems an old property, flooring of the room was damp and ply board was coming out, 4. Food is repetitive and below average
