    It was really a relaxing stay with the abundant 1 of January brunch.
    Great historic place with the nice grounds to walk around
    I booked a 13 m2 room but I was given a tiny room of about 8 m2 with no desk to write on and no fireplace like on the photo. The bathroom was extremely tiny.

    Good but not the best choice in the area
    The tower public areas were traditional and very comfortable with cozy sitting spaces, a grand staircase and an amazing library room. Delightful Christmas decorations in all spaces. Good location and close to the city of Edinburg. Staff was friendly, helpful and welcoming but overloaded due to a wedding event. Excellent, plentiful breakfast.
    Our room was located in an attic on the 3rd floor accessible only by stairs, which is annoying when you have to carry baggage by your own. The room & the toilet were very small but average with no fireplace, small TV not aligned to the bed and wares in the furnitures. However, the window was very small with limited view to the estate grounds due to a tower cone. In general, the room was not the one that is promoted in the pictures and probably the poorest room of the building. I am quite sure that other rooms are quite better so I strongly recomment to avoid room 311.

    Breakfast excellent. Evening meal & service excellent we appreciated that there are so many public areas where we could sit & chat & all comfortable & tastefully set up & decorated for Christmas
    The fact that the lift was unavailable made it harder as 2 of us are in our 80s but if wed been more disabled I would have liked to be warned in advance by email.

    Good breakfast, really good lunch & evening meals. Staff friendly and nice. It was our anniversary and manager gave us two complimentary glasses of bubbly! Nice touch! Would come back
    Room a bit tired but bathroom clean. Bed comfy , room warm. Pity about lift not working as we were on the 3rd floor but it was explained to us about the problem. It didn't really pose a problem for us.

    Amazing.
    Its very comfortable and so unusual with the highlight for me the amazing library. The staff could not have been more accommodating and helpful. We really felt welcome. Its very chilled. If youre looking for lots to do, fast pace. This is not for you. If you just want to relax and enjoy a bit of peace & quiet in gorgeous surroundings, its definitely a winner.

    Great weekend break visiting Edinburgh at Christmas time.
    Traditional and interesting. Good location and easy train to city. Staff couldnt be more friendly , helpful and welcoming. Excellent, plentiful breakfast and good choice. Excellent dinner in the Bistro.
    A little cool in communal areas and very hot in rooms. A minor detail.
