Overall, the hotel left an unforgettable impression. Perched atop Gornergrat Mountain, it was engulfed in the splendor of mountain vistas. Even the bathroom window served as a frame for a picturesque view, allowing me to savor endless landscapes while seated on the toilet. The rooms were not only bright and immaculate but also tastefully decorated, creating an atmosphere of comfort and luxury. The staff exhibited a high level of professionalism and attention to detail. Having an on-site restaurant was especially crucial, given the absense of other establishments amidst the mountains.

However, the restaurant proved to be an enigmatic place. The first dinner left much to be desired the dishes were simple and failed to impress with their flavors. It was so unexpected that I hesitated to attend the next dinner. Yet, the second evening brought a complete reversal dinner turned out to be a culinary revelation. Nevertheless, reminiscing about the first dinner, I am left with a question: perhaps the chef unexpectedly fell ill, and a stoker filled in for him? As it is known, stokers consume vodka due to the hardship of their profession, and vodka is traditionally paired with pickled foods. Maybe he discovered the entire collection of pickled products in the pantry and displayed them at the buffet, as well as adding them to the main dish. I have yet to find another explanation for this remarkable paradox.

A stunning view you would never forget

Didnt expect much with a remodel hotel but the interior design is actually quite interesting with a great concept. Friendly staff especially the waiter of our dinner. And, of course, the stunning view of Matterhorn from room window is unforgettable.

Life high up in the mountains

The location is out of this world, as is the opportunity to see the magnificent mountains at dawn and dusk. The staff really made us feel special.

Overall a lifetime experience for us and our trip in Switzerland ends on a high note.

Expensive but to us, it worth every penny. We got the amazing view of Matterhorn but more valuable thing is that after 3p, we could settle down and also enjoy the Matterhorn at sunrise. The included dinner was underwhelmed while the breakfast was awesome. Staffs were polite as well.

Dinner could be improved.
