Disappointing

Good location Nice breakfast

Having stayed here twice before a few years ago we found the hotel had gone downhill quite a bit since the last time we were here, which was a shame as we really liked this hotel. Room was very tired with lack of maintenance esp in the bathroom. Cleaned room myself with aniltibacterial wioes before our one night stay. Just about bearable for one night. Breakfast was nice however. We found out that this hotel has been in administration which explains a lot and is due to close this year for a full refurb. Wouldnt have booked here ever again but finding this info out will look out for it reopening and maybe give it another chance. Must be very hard for the staff to continue to work here during such uncertain times so well done to them.

Not as good as previous stays the room was not as advertised and in poor condition.

The location was excellent but the hotel was very tired.

The hotel was tired the heating in the room did not work we were given secondary heating but made the room dry and we all ended up with a sore throat, the bathroom extractor fan also did not work so everything in bathroom was wet, the pull down bed was also broke.

Extremely disappointed.

The location

The carpets were filthy throughout the hotel. Cleaning not up to standard, looked grubby. Window frames were covered in mould. Bathroom sink was blocked. Toilet didnt flush properly. Jacuzzi bath spat out black bits! Tiny electric heater to heat the room. Wafer thin mattress on one of the beds the other was better. 145 a night is steep for such terrible quality.

The spa bath was dirty with visible hairs and scum around bath and there was part inside the bath broken

Always wanted to stay here but never had the chance so was delighted when was available .never again

Bed comfortable

Room dated . Running tap in bathroom , no overflow cover on spa bath , rust off the spout . Dirt around edges in bathroom . No telephone in room or welcome pack . Carpets filthy .
