Exceptional

The coffee was one of the best I've ever had! Big rooms, great AC and only 1 minute walk to the beach. The owner was very nice, helpful and approachable! Very friendly staff. Good food, too!

Disappointing

Disappointing room - not value for money

Location is the only good factor, but there are many hotels in this area at similar or lower rates

1. Lots of mosquitoes (esp since one window did not lock properly) 2. No toiletries 3. Very transactional and commercialized in service - even water bottles were charged 4. Just bed and cupboard - don't expect any facilities. Not value for money for this price. 5. Description says tiled / marble floors. Room has concrete floor which becomes very dirty with sand. Housekeeping done only once during the stay.

Close to the beach

Very close to the beach, spacious room, very friendly and helpful staff, great coffee and breakfast

Bar next door with loud music until the early morning and earplugs wont save you (Not the hotels fault but good to know though)

I enjoyed staying in Unawatuna. The beach is exceptionally beautiful!

The room size was generous.

Nice and very friendly service, could borrow an umbrella for rain, tasty coffee and a nice balcony. The music in the afternoon was mostly our taste :)
