Top location and friendly service, but no standout concierge or extra-special room features.

Quiet location, fun bar, and quality service make this a hidden gem in Mayfair.

Breakfast portions are a bit underwhelming. Also, the room was even smaller than expected - understandable in an old hotel, but it may have been laid out in a better way to allow us to open two suitcases at the same time. The main issue was with a fire alarm: the entire hotel had to vacate the premises after midnight on a cold evening for about 20 minutes. The same alarm rang again at 4AM, but only for a few minutes - quite jarring. A bottle of wine was given as an apology, but as there was clearly never any fire, no proper explanation was given. I would have preferred a credit at the restaurant or against the room.

So happy we chose Christmastime, for our first visit to London.

Excellent location. Quiet.

Restaurant/bar was not very welcoming to guests staying at the hotel. We were turned away from two open seats at the bar.

Great visit. Super hotel in fabulous location

Loved everything. Super staff, super comfy bed, great breakfast. American Bar fun. Food in restaurant and bar delicious. Overall great ambience in fabulous location. Christmas decorations very lovely.

Sadly I had a bathroom with a shower curtain. Rather outmoded in a hotel of this standing. Hopefully refurbishment underway.

An indulgence but worth every penny!

Awesome location in the heart of St James, an easy walk to Piccadilly, Mayfair, and Covent Garden. It's not too far but no traffic at night so it's super quiet for great sleep! The room was awesome albeit a tad small, loved the shower, great staff and a bed I wanted to take home!

Absolutely fabulous, we come back every year .and I love it .

Everything , I love the Stafford. Christmas decorations are beautiful. Staff are all lovely and helpful . American bar is superb. The game bird restaurant is a real favourite of mine . Bed linen is sumptuous, coffee machine in the room . Lovely amenities. 5 star all the way .
