Elegant stay without any pretentiousness

Beautiful hotel with spacious, well-appointed rooms. All of the staff were very friendly and welcoming. We stayed here as part of an evening out to celebrate my husband's birthday, and the team at the King Edward really helped to make our stay extra special.

Not much to fault here. The only thing that comes to mind is the multiple televisions in the Consort Bar, which felt out of place (with a sports bar vibe) in an otherwise classy establishment.

Amazing place, not sure I would eat there

The staff was amazing! The location was perfect for what we wanted. The rooms look luxurious.

My son and I got sick from the Christmas dinner buffet. Our reservations were near the end of the service and we had the turkey, which no one was eating, which probably should have been a clue. My daughter did not have the turkey so that is why we think that's what it was. So I told the front desk that we got sick and they said they were going to pass it on to a manager who did not follow up with me. I don't know if they think I was lying or what happened. Regardless they still charged us for my son and my meals. Also I paid for three of us in the room but you're only allowed to have Wi-Fi for two people. So if all of us wanted to be on the Wi-Fi we had to pay at least $9.95 a night.

This hotel was beautiful and the staff even better. The rooms were warm, nicely decorated, and comfy. They even welcomed us with a wonderful holiday wish!

A delightful historical property that I look forward to revisiting.

A charming historical property, with all the comforts and aesthetics too. It is convenient in relation to the train station and to the church I wanted to attend.

All I would improve would be to provide one smaller pillow, as huge hotel pillows give me a stiff neck.

Superb

Really fun. Walkable to everything. Staff great. Would stay again.

Breakfast was good-not excellent, but good. Pricey. Wait staff was excellent. Liked the bar-gave us 2 free drink vouchers. Concierge was amazing, and there was parking. Staff was so helpful and polite. Rooms very clean. Location unbeatable if you are seeing a performance.

We were pretty happy with the whole stay. No pool, if thats your thing. Its not ours.
