Could not fault the staff from start to finish and brekkie was absolutely gorgeous

The staff were very friendly and pleasant. A lovely atmosphere. The ESPA spa thermal suites with exceptional.

The TV in the lake view suite we had did not work in the bathroom. The iron did not function. Could not open a window for air when it got stuffy. The showers were only lukewarm in the evening time but the morning after were warm.

Overpriced !

Room and bathroom were good and spacious,Room looked out onto retail park with bins being emptied from 7am Breakfast was as per required standard

Food in the signature lounges was overpriced for what was really decent gastro pub standard Tranquility suite had three of the specialised showers not working..charged 15 per head despite paying top rate for hotel.

Pleasant stay but not a 5 Star Hotel- Shop around

Staff were all pleasant, Public Spaces were pleasant. Breakfast was small but pleasant. SPA experience was nice despite having to ask Staff to remove the use of Mobile phones from Thermal Suite. Kosia the Therapist on my 2nd visit was definitely worthy of an honourable mention. We liked its location and only 15 minute walk to the City.

Wasn't looking for fault - but at the price paid , this is not a 5 Star Hotel. Tired and run down in places including the SPA, not enough staff at anytime during our stay. Food was very poor and sent back part of my Dinner twice. Trading on a reputation once had, but needs very obvious improvements in many areas. Too many hotels in Galway to choose from, really needs to up its game. The Huntsmans Inn across the road's food was far superior with plenty of staff. Nobody likes to go away for a special occasion, spend the Guts of 600 for 2 nights and come away saying it was 'Grand'..........

beautiful hotel but need to increase staff to keep the 5 star experience.

the property was very nice and very clean. the front desk staff were so helpful. we got an upgrade to a deluxe room which was very kind of them.

unfortunately the breakfast was a huge downfall for us. there is no continental buffet so you get a small selection of food to your table. because of this you have to ask staff for everything you need, including another glass of juice etc. this was very difficult because there was no enough staff on and there was long waits when asking for items. my partner is gluten free and requires gluten free toast with his breakfast. we asked for this when ordering and this was no problem. when the food arrived there was no gluten free toast brought, only normal toast. we then had to ask again for this to be made, which took 15 minutes to come to the table, all while my partner could not start his breakfast because he needed the toast. when the toast arrived it was beyond burnt- completely inedible but someone the staff thought it was acceptable to take this to the table. we obviously sent it back and asked for more toast. this then took a further 10 minutes to arrive- my partner had still not been able to start his breakfast. at this point when the toast finally arrived his breakfast was stone cold. there was no apologies for this inconvenience. the main areas of the hotel are nice but there is zero atmosphere. a piano there but no one playing it. very low music playing. we ordered two cocktails and waited almost 20 minutes for it to arrive. there needs to be an increase in staff to make the experience feel 5 star because although the hotel and rooms are beautiful. the service really let it down.

Festive fun in Galway

The property was beautiful well designed and was decorated for Christmas. The room we had was fantastic beautiful view and a lovely Christmas tree which made the stay festive and cosy! Breakfast had a great variety on the menu! The bar was great in the evening I got some very nice cocktails.

Superb

It's was really comfortable. It had a lovely ambient atmosphere.

The garden hose visible outside my room window. Room 250. Scaffolding parts left on the ground, visible in the breakfast room. It's 5 star, not a building site.
