Heritage Property - Best choice to stay at Nuwara Eliya

The best property that I could have booked, at a steal deal price. The heritage property belonged to SL's first prime minister. The rooms are spacious, and with best amenities!

A charming colonial bungalow

Lovely to be in the country home of the first PM of Sri Lanka and his descendants. A really charming cottage with beautiful antique furniture especially the four poster beds. We enjoyed reading in the living room overlooking a very English type garden with many flowers.

Hotel with an old charm

The property has an old charm offering a great view. Sudharshan and the other staff were helpful. The actual guest rooms need to be maintained properly.

The carpet was very old and had dirty marks on. It looked like it has expired it's use by date. Also didn't like the moulds in the shower and bathroom.

The hotel lives in its own dimension and everything works there just perfect

Worth every penny, heritage building is spiced up with modern comfort, even simply staying within the hotel compound counts as sightseeing. Service easily meets international 5-star standards, and the surrounding flower and tea gardens, mighty firs, and hills bathing in clouds will make you feel disconnected from the current world reality. On the other hand, if you need to connect, their wifi works great.

The bungalow was the house of the first PM of Srilanka. We even occupied his room. The furniture & the room style was antique style . The chairs used by the King & Queen were displayed & used. The view was overlooking a mountain , tea garden & vegetable garden. Staff were friendly & cooperative. Had an enjoyable stay .

The room phone used as an intercom was antique style & barely worked.
