Guests loved their stay at The Cove at Rockport, even in the winter. They enjoyed the ocean views and convenient location, with shops and restaurants within walking distance. The rooms were clean and (Read More) well-appointed, although some mentioned steep stairs as a consideration for those with physical limitations. Communication with staff was easy and efficient, and the inclusion of a parking space was appreciated. Lovely spot but access arrangements are problematic and I didn't spot the $250 security deposit

Lovely location right by the beach. Nicely fitted out room with very comfortable bed, nice bedlinen. Good shower. Rockport is gorgeous and was the perfect location for our last night on holiday.

Check-in was a dreadful experience. Out of season, the hotel is apparently not manned (not sure that is obvious on the particulars). I had to go through an online check-in process uploading pictures etc which not being a young thing, I hated. Then I was told they required a $250 dollar deposit before they would give me the key and they were going to call me. No call - apparently they can't call international numbers. So I landed up having to call them and incur a load of international dialling charges. Apology by the outsourced service company but no compensation. When I finally got into the room, I noticed some cans of water by the coffee machine - which I assumed were complimentary - nice hotels generally put a free bottle of water out. Having opened one, I then read that they would be charging me $2 and I assume that has now been deducted from my security deposit. Unbelievably iirritating. My room number was changed because of a maintenance issue. During the night, I was also kept awake by a flashing light at the bottom of the aircon - which went all night. So although a comfortable bed, I can't say I had a great night's sleep. This is a lovely spot but I wouldn't stay there again simply because of the aggravation of trying to get in and I don't like being charged for a bottle of water!

Needs a little more privacy on the window facing the decking ( perhaps a blind) we couldnt appreciate the view from the room when other people were using the shared deck

The place is beautiful, and location fabulous! I would like to stay on a weekend when the patio is open.

I could not find a staff member to inquire about needed amenities, ice, area, etc., so a general reception area would be good. As beautiful as the common lounge area is, a person would be nice to connect with.

Location can't be beat but comfort is lacking, price is not justified

Location is excellent.

Very expensive, for $600 per night i would expect a cleaner room, cleaning services throughout the stay and better bed linens and pillows. The pillows are huge and hard and really awful to sleep on.
