In short, it is a good place to stay for the first few days in Sri Lanka!

It is very cute and nice family running this guesthouse. The owner, Denish, is very kind and enthusiastic to help people. He has a tuktuk and took me to go around Negombo with a reasonable price. They also served a delicious SriLankan breakfast. For the house, the room is clean and neat. The bathroom is quite clean with hot water though you may not need it due to the hot weather. It has mosquito net and fan, and you can sleep well without mosquito bothering.

Denish and his wife are so hospitable and welcoming! I am very grateful to them for making the start of my Sri Lankan journey so special and unforgettable! Nothing is too much for this family and they truly care about their guests experience at their home stay. I strongly recommend! Everything was perfect; from airport pick-up to Denishs tuk tuk tour of Negombo. Thank you!

Amazing value for money

The couple that run Sunrise City Palace are absolutely lovely! We stayed here for one night and it was perfect before our flight. They dropped us off at 5am to the airport and provided a packed breakfast too. They also gave us a handmade bracelet each - so kind! Top tip if you are going to the airport, give yourself an extra hour as there can be queues (additional security) before the check in desks which we were caught in for nearly an hour!

The owners are lovely! I felt like at home. Even theirs kids welcomed me and had a chat together. Denish did a tuk tuk tour around Negombo for me and he explained me about each place. He also picked me at the airport early in the morning. It was a great beginning in Sri Lanka!

Very nice accommodation, especially good for the first or last night in Sri Lanka. The host picked me up from the airport with his tuktuk. Great start of the trip! You don't need to negotiate the price with a local taxi and you are at the homestay in no time. Awesome breakfast the next morning, with only homemade stuff and mango from their own tree (that was the best). Amazing people! I can only recommend it.
