The Sheraton Shanghai Hongkou Hotel provides spacious rooms with a classic and antique touch, although the decor may be slightly outdated. The generous space in the rooms is a redeeming factor. Howev (Read More)er, there is a downside to the hotel experience as the noise from neighboring rooms can disrupt the peace, caused by inconsiderate guests during the night.

Exceptional

It was delightful

Everything was pretty comfortable and neat.

We didnt have access to toothpaste and toothbrush and some other basic hygiene products which are usually set in the room, after a call to the reception it was delivered to our rooms.

Disappointing

Could have been so much better if it wasnt for the front desk staff and the employees in general.

The view from ou room was grand! And the breakfast buffet was very varied.

The staff was clearly origin biased not to say racist. I felt ill treated because I am African . They have a very different behavior towards African-Americans than towards Africans. I have been to 4 different hotels during this trip to China and the Sheraton is the only one that made me feel being looked down on. The welcome desk staff was everything but welcoming. I wrote a formal complaint to them but even their apologies lacked sincerity. I definitely do not recommend that hotel on the ground of poor staff quality.

Very good

The room and amenities were good. Kenny from the front office was fabulous. He was very hospitable. Sadly language was a barrier with many of the other staff but Kenny went out of his way to assist me.

If youre looking for a nice hotel with an nice view on Shanghais famous buildings, with parking and socket for e-car,

Excellent staff & services. We felt like the room that weve got didnt fit to our standards, mainly due to the cigarettes odor. Someone must have smoked in there weve asked to change the room. Got an upgraded one, roomier and without odorless. When we were leaving the room, my wife has forgotten her expensive earphones under the pillow, so weve called the hotel and they have sent it to our home. Very good experience.

Didnt have scrambled eggs for breakfast.

Will come back

Excelent location. We got the room on 27th floor with amazing view on whole Pudong. The breakfast is outstanding combining local and international taste. The pool and SPA area are cool for re-fresh.

The hotel has it year. Although it is very clean some parts are bit old (pool etc)
