My son adored this place but the food ruined it for me and my husband

I liked the pools and the water park for the kids. We got to the pool at around 9.30-10am every morning and had our pick of loungers. The location is amazing and has a lovely beach right in front. The staff were also lovely but some seemed a little unhappy in their work, but were friendly.

The food was bad, all the ingredients tasted low quality. We ordered room service one night and it was inedible. The buffet was pretty bad and Im not that fussy, just nothing tasted of much or was that fresh. The restaurants were slightly better and on the last day we found the tacos next to the water park which were really good. The queuing system for the buffet is bizzare, we waited in line for ages and then when we went in there were lots of free tables. The food would be my reason not to go back as I couldnt eat like that again.

Good

The room wasnt clean when we arrived it was hairs in the bathroom and big puddle of water next to the window. The water in the whirlpool on the balcony was yellow, so if you want better room because of the whirlpool dont do it you wont use it anyway.Rooms are big but it feels old and not comfy.

There was some racism and subtle discrimination. Me and my family walked into the cafe beside the buffet hall and was not greeted or offered a menu. A Caucasian family came in immediately afterwards and they were immediately greeted and handed a menu. I decided to walk to the counter and ask for a menu. He said he only had one and already gave it away. I later talked to the staff member about him not greeting us but greeting the family after us. I reminded him we are all humans. He appeared to be sorry for what he did but wasn't surprised. He appeared to be ashamed. About 5 minutes later, he brought over desert and was very apologetic. The kids were happy for the desert but I'm hoping he was genuine and didn't do it only out of fear of losing his job. As I respectfully told him, it's not OK to treat people differently because of the color of their skin. Facility and rooms were old. Old/ torn furniture in the room. It was great that room service came daily, on time and did a great job.

The hotel was very hot and humid in the main areas, very uncomfortable to eat during the day, my room had a smell, and beds were hard and very, we did not sleep well at all.

I would like to go back to this hotel, to this only room

We rested at this hotel at the end of November 2023 and faced the problem of noise in the room. One manager promised us to change the room for an additional fee to a quiet one with an ocean view, but, unfortunately, he cheated. When I, according to his established plan, came to the reception, in the morning (and we checked out of our current room, as he said, before 12:00), then he did not work at the reception, and another reception worker said that the room had already been booked by other guests. As a result, I asked to talk to another manager. This was Barbara Torres. She listened to this story very carefully. She sensed what had happened. It was very pleasant. And of course, she solved this seemingly unsolvable issue, a mistake made by the last manager.: as a result, we were given an excellent very nice, quiet room. I want to go back to this hotel and only now to this room. We are very grateful to Barbara for her professionalism, high quality of the client-oriented process!
