Really poor , unclean, over-priced, unsafe for pets and unprofessional.

Location.

There was cane toads in the property, no toilet paper and fresh towels. When we quite reasonably for help to get rid of cane toads (as they wouldve killed our two dogs) and we were then told we must have left the doors open. In which case we wouldnt have, as we have our two precious dogs inside the pet friendly hotel room. The shower was not sealed properly so water ran all through the bathroom & toilet area. There were gaps in the outside patio part & the roads came in and went to the bathroom where the water from the shower flooded after a shower. This happened twice. Whilst the hotel was kind enough to move rooms they were not willing reimburse us for the nights that we could not use the toilet or shower, at all. This is extremely disappointing as we had paid (very happily) a significant amount of money $2,400.00 (around this mark) & we were happy to support the area following the tragic natural disaster of the cyclone. We dont feel the advertisement on Booking.com is reflective the current state (that was obviously not due to the cyclone).

Good Place with a great location and value for money.

I arrived after the kitchen was closed and departed before it opened in the morning. But the front of house guy pointed me at a truly excellent pizza place up the road.

Pfaffing around trying to find the safe, there was no envelope for me - late booking I guess. Phone support dribbled out the information like it was a secret. Couldnt find my room - it was hidden behind reception and parking in Palm Cove is a nightmare- until I discovered the car park out the back and there was just one space left - thankfully. But Room was great. Bed was great too.

nice old hotel that needs to be cleaned up, needs to have a face lift

the beach was only a few minutes across the road and it was late by the time I got there so not safe to go in, but the sounds of the ocean were beautiful.

the way I had to find a car park, I wasn't able to find the hotel car park, from the back area. Then I tried to ring up and get the key for the room from the night attendee, the first girl wasn't very helpful, but the second lady was very good and helped a lot from getting my room key to finding my room and making me feel at home.

Brilliant beachfront boutique hotel

An interesting little hotel in a wonderful beachfront position. It has clearly seen better days and this is reflected in the price. It is fantastic to be able to stroll out of the front door and straight over the very quiet road onto the beach, or wander along the esplanade to find a suitable eatery.

The hot water was VERY hot which made it a bit difficult to adjust the water temperature. The fridge was set too cold, so everything in it ended up frozen!
