Poor

The interior is in need of a remodel. The carpet is stained and musty. Everyone in our party had terrible allergy issues after staying.

There is alot of moisture in the property which leads to a really bad musty smell. The carpets need to be replaced

Disappointing.

I had a room overlooking the river - a little noise from the busy street to contend with but it was bearable & did not disturb sleep.

So many things - starting with the garish tasteless Christmas decorations. The foyer chandeliers were switched off, the water fountain in the garden was almost empty & very dirty, breakfast was held inside due to the imminent threat of rain, & everything felt like it was on hold, saving money, a feeling of scarcity throughout. This is in comparison to 2012 when I last stayed and was enchanted by the atmosphere. It was such a disappointment. Awful luke warm coffee in some sort of pot meant to keep it hot, but didn't. I saw one staff member at breakfast grab a big handful of salad lettuce out of the serving bowl & walk with it back to the kitchen. Saving a few dong on lettuce? Wearing NO gloves!! I challenged her on her food handling, & got an apology. I never ate salad again after that & was happy to leave.

Exceptional

Old Hollywood glam stay in the centre of town

I had the most wonderful time staying at the Saigon Morin. Our room was mind-blowing amazing, I could barely believe how amazing it was. The staff were incredible. Everything was like a dream or a Hollywood movie. Our bed was comfy and we enjoyed walking around the local area.

We loved our stay here, so no real negatives.

Historical hotel in the center in Hue

We have chosen this hotel due to being a historical hotel in the center in Hue. Location is great, the areas of the hotel are amazing like the hotels were designed before, the spirit of a Grand Hotel can be found in there. The room was very nice and well decorated. The breakfast was diverse. The tours organised by the hotel were very nice and, last but not least, the staff is very kind and helpful, always with a smile and available to make your stay as perfect as possible.

Even though there is the charm of a classical historical hotel, a refurbishment would be welcomed. Mold is not acceptable, for example. We had the room requested (river view), but as on the 1st floor we couldn't see the river.

Dated but truly iconic.

Such an iconic property, in a prime location on perfume river that I first visited 20 years ago staying in the presidential suite. I really hope a Marriott or similar comes in and re brands .. one individual Mr Vu, both a night bellman of 21 years and also waiter at breakfast is the heartbeat of that hotel. Kudos to him !
