Royalton CHIC Cancun, An Autograph Collection All-Inclusive Resort - Adults Only

Royalton Chic...where do I start... It should have been a 5 star experience.. but together with my family we have baptized the hotel with another new name: Royalton Chic, The "NO" Hotel. They disguise a 5-star Diamon service with a butler who welcomes you and you will never see him again. The facilities are nice, the rooms are comfortable, although the shower had a cover from a previous tenant's scraper for 2 days. On the 3rd day it was definitely gone. The sofa smelled like an old dog, impossible to sit on, it made me quite sick. A prize must be given to the decorator who came up with the light on the front face of the bulitding, very beautiful green, red and blue colors. But it never occurred to anyone that one of the reasons for staying in a hotel was to sleep. The lights on the faade came from... the balconies. Correct, the light comes from the balcony railings, but just as you look outwards, you look inwards. And the best thing: the blackout of the room does not cover all the light, around and in the middle it looks like a TV. In the morning, my wife went to talk to the manager (supposedly the night manager) and he told her that what we were trying to do is take advantage of this issue. When my wife told me that, I went to talk to her and she told me that she had no complaints from any other clients. Then I went to Customer Relationship and the lady very kindly told me that they had had complaints from other customers but that there was nothing they could do. The balcony lights turn off automatically at 2 am. I mean, the night manager lied, apart from being rude. The food.... terrible, don't expect quality. Beach: People go at 8 am to leave towels on the beds and at 10:30 when we go down there are no beds available. The person in charge of the Diamond area sees you walking around in a circle but has no intention of helping. Finally I saw 2 chairs, one on one side and another in another and the answer was...obviously...NO.

We stayed at the hotel about a year ago and the food was amazing. For this stay the food was a hit or miss. Our room was only cleaned once during our stay and that was after we asked for it to be cleaned twice. We booked the beach cabana the day before we used it. On the day of we were walked to the cabana by the booking employee and introduced to one of the waiters. As we were getting settled the manager of the cabana and diamond club area approached us and asked if we booked it and how much we paid. Afterwards the Waiter confirmed our booking. I felt like the manager could've confirmed our booking with the team before making us feel unwelcomed.

I like everything about it. My butler David was excellent very attentive and would go above and beyond to do the things that needed to be done. My waiter from the buffet Jesus an older man was excellent! He would be very attentive and hes such a wonderful man and human being . I always would look for him when I went to the buffet to sit on his tables. Also the lady named Yolanda at the diamond club check in serving food, was excellent always asking me if I needed something and made me a tea the last day I was there checking out because I got sick. I have been there many times and one of the last times wasnt a great experience, but I decided to try it again and I will for sure return again
