front desk was rude, majority in the group did not receive double room instead got one bed with another travel bed, performers were camping and changing infont of room, beach was sandbagged, buffet quality was not good, dinner reservation is very limited and line starts at 6:00am

Last minute getaway

Was conveniently located, nice facilities.

Beach was a bit small, a little bit deceiving when looking at the aereal pictures. Would love to have some night Latin dancing in the future

Even on a great Black Friday travel special we will not return to this property.

The staff and the spa were the best parts of this property. We have stayed with Barcelo Mayan Riviera and thought with Occidental being in the Barcelo family this property would be wonderful - it was not. The beach and the water are pictured as typical blue, blue Cancun waters and it is not - they are in a cove with a small beach. The drinks are not good, the food was less than desirable - nighttime entertainment was karaoke - no shows - nothing special. The beds were hard - it's a dated property that does not have the standards we know Barcelo to be. The location is not walking distance to the hotel zone of shopping / bars / nightlife. We will not stay here again unfortunately.
