A premium for an only decent experience resulting in disappointment

Location

Generally your food is always top notch. I was looking forward to sausages for breakfast always excellent in all your hotels even beyond uk. The sausages did not taste freshly cooked and the croissants were cold abs flabby. It was much better only after I asked for it to be heated up l. The Honesty Bar was confusing. I thank you for not charging me for the confusion. The premium one paid for hotel may not be aligned to experience and amenities

Lovely well located exceptionally overpriced stay

Great location. Lovely design. nice seating areas.

Considering this was supposed to be 5-star... the service was mediocre, the bathroom floors were not heated and one on/off bright light switch. The room was exceptionally small. I pay this room rate all over the world and other than the space being "beautiful" i have no idea why it cost so much for what i got.

I like the location and the staff very much, but I doubt I will return.

Well meaning staff, convenient location, quiet, pretty public rooms

Room 309 is itsy-bitsy. The sink extends over the toilet. Shower door doesn't open very far, and one gets very wet while turning on the shower. (Wouldn't pass Building Code standards where I come from) Reaching the USB outlet on the far side of the bed requires squeezing between mattress and full length curtains. No luggage rack, so I put suitcase on the desk. Table lamps have switches on the cords which are tucked behind the bedside tables, so you have to hunt for them. (I prefer switches on the lamps)

Everything- the warmth, the decor, friendly helpful staff

Bathroom in Room 18 is very small Scented soaps only; suggest hypoallergenic, non-scented soap as well

The Room -- my room was up in the attic and I should have been warned of the stairs which were pretty unmanagable, the room was SOOOOO TINY I could not actually get in the shower without sideways getting in and scraping my body. To sit on the toilet you had to sit over the basin. YOu can not get out one side of the bed - it was too small

I enjoyed it very much. I would go back.

It is a small intimate hotel. Beautiful decor. Nice and relaxed. The hair dryer in my room was excellent! I have travelled a lot and hairdryers in all hotels, even 5* are never good enough. This was an excellent plus. It does make a difference!

The only thing I will say is that there is no lift service to the third floor. The stairs are almost vertical as these rooms are in the attic space. This could be a problem for some people.
