The Marcelin Family Villa is highly recommended for its excellent hospitality and helpful owners. The guests were able to check-in early and enjoy breakfast. The owners assisted with arranging transp (Read More)ortation and even booked a massage for the guests. The rooms were clean and comfortable. The hosts, Roy and Jennifer, were kind and helpful in organizing the guests' trip. The villa was cute and welcoming, and the breakfast was amazing. The location is convenient, just minutes away from the beach, restaurants, and supermarkets. Overall, a highly recommended place to stay in Sri Lanka.

Good first place when you arrive in Sri Lanka

Proximity to the beach, friendly staff, very accomodating nice we arrived at 3am, our gps brought us to the wrong location and the staff were able to help us through the phone.

Nice room with a delicious dinner straight from the fisherman

The owner is a fisherman, so he has fresh seafood every day, from which his wife prepares a delicious dinner! They also have beer... and at a reasonable price. It's not worth looking for something to eat in the area. The room was small but clean with a nice bathroom, air conditioning and a fan.

Amazing host

Jennifer and her husband are so kind and welcoming. Jennifer is a good cook. It is very nice to sit on the veranda in the evening. The accomodation is very close to the beach.

No warm water in the shower and the wall sockets are a little bit unreliable.

The perfect introduction to my time in Sri Lanka. The family are so warm and welcoming and made me feel at home straight away. Walking distance to the beach and lots of restaurants, and the most comfortable bed I have had in a long time!

Good room, warm and friendly hosts

We arrived in the middle of the night from the airport and it was no problem at all. The room is comfortable and has everything you might expect. Roy and his wife were extremely friendly and welcoming. They arranged a tuk tuk for us the next day so we could see all of Negombo.

Lots of mosquitos in the room, luckily the bed had a mosquito net, so its no problem when you are sleeping

Conveniently located in Negombo and/or close enough to the airport for an early morning/late night transfer. We only stayed one night, but the family are very nice and I got the impression they'd be willing to help their guests. The room and bathroom were clean.

Didn't provide proper bedding (just a thin and small sheet). There were a few mosquitoes in the room on arrival, so we had to ensure they were not around the bed when we lowered the mosquito net. The washroom is outdated.
