Great Location with a great view.

Great Location....Will be amazing place to stay especially through the summer months. View of the lake from the house was great.

Had to muck around with the TV and put ariel back in to get the tv going.

Superb

A fantastic place for a multi-family lake holiday at a reasonable price

The location was excellent - we were attending a regatta being held the other side of the rugby field. It was clean, comfortable and had plenty of room. Full sized house with great lake views and a big garden. There is a large sunny deck with table, chairs and umbrella. Upstairs had a good sized lounge and dining area, fully equipped kitchen with fridge/freezer and dishwasher, three good sized double bedrooms (you need to bring sheets, pillow cases and towels etc), separate toilet, bathroom with shower over the bath and a basin. Downstairs had a laundry with a big washing machine and dryer and a small bathroom with shower and toilet. There was a huge open room with SIX single beds and extra mattresses under three of them. The garage door could be opened from inside for easy access in the rain. There were heaps of games, books, a good collection of DVDs, and an assortment of beach type equipment. All in all, a great set up for a multi-family stay at the lake. There was WiFi available but we didn't use it.

The huge room downstairs was so damp and musty. They asked that we turn on the dehumidifier upon arrival and we kept it going the entire time - remembering to empty it frequently. We were required to clean the entire place - we felt that this was a bit much when a $60 cleaning fee was already included in the price. Obviously, we would always leave a place tidy and relatively clean, but having to vacuum, mop, scrub toilets and clean window ledges etc was a bit OTT. There was some tea, coffee, sugar, salt and pepper available. It would have been nice to have some herbs and spices and maybe some oil?

Very good

A home away from home and fantastic value for money.

The upstairs was beautiful and clean and the views were amazing!!! It was really comfortable and felt like home which suited the children perfectly. It was fully fenced and plenty of room to run around.

Apart from the downstairs, a great place for meeting friends.

The upstairs was a really nice set up. All kitchen utensils were available and easy to find. Cosy lounge. Bedrooms all a good size.

The downstairs was very damp and we did not want any sickness due to it so we didn't use the downstairs. It really was a shame as there was so much potential to using the house. So we had to share our beds and as we were family it wasn't a problem. There was not anywhere near enough kindling to start the fire and no other way to heat the room up.

Good

Had family over from Scotland and we had a great time thanks.

We all enjoyed the house and the birdlife and views.

Location was not optimum considering we were indulging in Rotorua based activities but it was okay. Would have preferred to have had access to an iron.

Even though what we commented about what we didnt like about the property, we feel its still a truely Kiwi Home.

like the view, very comfortable sofa, lot sunlight. quiet and privacy.

Not enough heating thought the house even though there is HRV system on the upper floor, during the last night of stay seems like a ringing sound going on and off for 15 to 20 mins came from the roof through the HRV system down the hallway end of house close to the bedrooms and a few knocking noise in the middle of night while everyone was sleeping, bathroom does not have extracted fan and a heater. Toilet system always make a very loud noise not so good for the night time when flashing the system. Ground floor room is not very pleasant.

Having 2 areas for our family upstairs and downstairs etc

Lack of service /wifi just to send off emails or make bookings etc It rained to whole time so more time spent inside but couldn't get the tv box thing to work so just watched a DVD just for nights mainly

Superb

Comfortable and well equipped lake house

The property and facilities are exactly as photographed and described. We had a great stay and found it to be a very clean, comfortable, spacious and well equipped house for independent travelers looking for an Air BnB style accommodation. The location is a couple of minutes walk from Lake Rotoiti with really nice lake views from the deck. The host can send you good instructions on how to access the house.

Vodafone mobile coverage is a bit limited in some parts of the house/location, so check that you have signal.

Great place to bond as one as a whanau.

The fire place, the bay view window that you could see the lake. Having the sun shine through into the dining room all day long was awesome. The size and amount of beds to accomodate a huge family vacay (even though there was just the three of us) shows huge potential for family get always. the outdoor activity equipment available for use made us wish it was summer. Great place to unplug if you are disconnecting from devices.

the indoor family activities were limited and seemed a little dated. Perfect for families who enjoy puzzles but there was nothing for families who enjoy board games. As the weather determined our stay to be indoor activities situated, we were relegated to playing cards with the deck we brought. was not mentioned online about the dead spots so we werent able to stream our Netflix or Disney +, we were made aware that there was no wifi installed as of yet.
